Not many years ago, guilds in mmos didn't have a cap.

With the newly implemented cool-down on changing guilds, it has become very difficult for Vanarch guilds at or near the cap to capture the lower level PP BAM's. Prior to this change, my guild was leaving a 15 character buffer between our main guild and our alt guild so that members could move into the main guild to kill a lower level PP BAM. Now that opportunity is either lost, or a spot in the main guild has to be filled by a moderately dormant character for the eventuality that it may be used to kill a PP BAM in it's level range. I don't really understand the logic of a guild cap, but it is definitely hurting the game's most active guilds by keeping it in place.

Please remove the guild population cap so all my guilds characters can be in the same guild and not be penalized by an unintended consequence of people exploiting the GVG Vanarach system. Thank you.

YEAH let's just create 1 huge guild with 20k members woooo... nice idea genius

Why not just plan ahead and just have enough people of all level ranges and spread the members to both guilds? Guild tokens can be traded.

If they want to chat just form your own guild channel?

Our guild alliances use private channels so we can talk together.

This issue is NOT about Cath. Awards or Chatting, it is about Policy Points.

Policy Points (PP) cannot be traded, they are a "currency" which goes directly to the guild the character turning the quest in, is in. Not to mention that Vanarch quests cannot be picked up by a character not in a Vanarch guild (I assume this is correct, I've actually never NOT been in a non-Vanarch guild) So while we DO have characters all a wide range of levels within our numbers these characters NEED to be in the main guild for the PP to be awarded. Since there is a cap on the number of characters in the guild and my guild is approaching the point where all the members of it are active players (3 weeks) we needed to form an alt guild to create space in the main guild for active MAIN characters. The problem is, most of these alts are the characters we use to generate policy points, therefore the new rule causes serious issues for guilds at or near the cap who are also aggressively going after the lower level PP BAM's. Again, in the past we kept a 15 character buffer, so that we could move a low level alt into the guild for the quest pickup and turn in, and after that return the character to the alt guild. We cannot do that anymore because of the cooldown imposed as a result of the GVG Vanarch scandal.

It seems to me there are quite a few people posting who likely aren't in a Vanarch guild or have issues with managing the cap because they aren't close to it. You don't need to be in either of these situations to post of course, but at least be aware of conditions this change is imposing on guilds who ARE in this situation before you post please.

What is the issue of having no guild cap? The guild cap is obviously hindering guilds, and Audible is obviously trying to work with what he has. He already explained a process that is pretty intricate in handling, just so that he can get PP for managing the zones (and this is why he is vanarch). If one of the top vanarch's who has always kept shops and services open, is annoucing a problem because of the recent patch, I would be inclined to believe there is a problem.

Audible even suggested another fix, as to have more PP vanarch quests that would be available for guilds to do. Audible isn't pushing for an unlimited population cap, he is pushing for a fix to a problem that the patch is imposing on us. The unlimited population cap being a suggestion.

With all that said, I think the GvG vanarch is retarded and should be scraped anyways. GvG in its simplist form, is stupid. Guilds with low amounts of members can easily win a GvG by hit and hide tactic, and can easily pick off the lowbies of a guild. I am aware that organized GvG's are amazing. And its sad that a diamond of a feature is avaiable to us, but only with trolling abusing children who need to raise their epeen because they can hit and hide in GvGs. And you can win vanarach with such a broken system? Absurd, and Stupid. Just remove the GvG vanarch, and you remove the issue of people abusing it, and you remove the need to have this restriction that is causing problems.

Overall, its obvious there is a problem with the 24hour restriction of joining a new guild. SOMETHING needs to be done about it.
