Rerolling enigmatic stats

Okay, so I finally got a T13 weapon for cheap thanks to the price drops, and started rolling the stats trying to get double attack speed since thats really all I care about

So after just a couple tries I managed to get atk speed on the base stat, and then I noticed the reroll thing that requires 13x spellbind with cost 16g each, to keep a stat, so thats 208g right there

With the same 208g, you could attempt 40 full rerolls just from normal enigmatic scrolls, so Im really wondering, am I missing something here? Why would you waste 208 g per try just to keep a stat? Or does spellbind keep that stat permanently so you can reroll for cheap as much as you want?

Spellbind is per reroll, not permanent. And wait till you get all of em you want except 1 and have to spellbind 4/5 on a MW weapon. Or trying to MW weapon or armor or enchanting stuff....omg im not even gonna start :P

Thats just ridiculous...Like I said, even with just 1 option thats 40:1, with 4, you could fully reroll 160 times for each spellbind reroll, which is a lot more likely to give you the bonuses you are looking for

Guess thats what Im gonna do then

Are you rerolling a weapon you can masterwork or just one you got from bt hm?

If its the drop from bt hm just keep using white scrolls till you get 2 or 3 stats you like. In particular MW the TOP stat (the one you dont need a + for). That stat is the hardest to get right since it competes with none of the bottom ones. Once you have the top one and 1 or 2 of the bottom ones then use spellbind.

If its a MWable weapon, masterwork it first, then follow the steps I mentioned above.

It depends on what stats you want on your weapon. I rolled my regressor ~300 times, and was getting a little tired of sitting in game just clicking scrolls then my weapon. I was aiming for 4 useful stats (2x atk speed, then either damage from behind, engraged damage, or boss damage), so the chances of getting what I wanted from 4 randomly selected stats were pretty low. Eventually, I just ended up getting attack speedx2 on my weapon, and rerolling it with the spellbinds.

Also, it depends on how much money you have, or are willing to spend.

spellbinds are for masterwork weapons, and finishing off the last stat of a non-mw wep.

the way that is best to do it for non-mw weps is to use regular rerolls until you get 2x attackspeed, and then spellbind them for the last stat or 2 stats.

the reason you use spellbinds on a masterwork wep is that it costs 400g to reroll stats, and not 5g. so it ends up being much cheaper to use spellbinds.

with my MW each reroll cost about 300-350g, and the chances of getting the right stats are lower as it has another slot thrown in there (+3/5/7/9) when going for perfect stats atleast. spellbind end up being worth using at that point. given at this point im using about 1500g in spellbind per attempt :-/

for a regular enigmatic youre better off just rerolling and hoping for luck

the way that you calculate what to do is to calculate the chance that you succeed in your reroll, and multply it by the amount it costs per roll...then if it costs more than the same cost using spellbinds... then you use spellbinds.

for example... on a weapon, the chance that you get 2x attack speed is 1/11 times (1/11+1/10+1/9) for a non-crafted wep. you would then multiply that by the cost of your rerolling scrolls to see how much it would cost for you to meet the average, which is roughly 36 times, so you would get a total reroll cost of 360 gold to get your 2x attack speed. in order to get three stats you want... you multiply the chance that it took to get your 2x attack speed by another 1/10.

now, you have a 1/364 chance to get it... so your cost is 3640 gold total... whereas with 2xspellbind... it is a 1/10 chance, which is cheaper total than 3640. because this total is roughly 3380 gold... if i remember correctly how much they cost... but i might be wrong.

thats assuming a 1:1 ratio between all the stats. of course it could be luck, but i see boss damage, behind damage and attack speed MUCH less than i see highest agro or either MP regen.

4 out of 5 of my last rerolls have resulted in "+4% damage to highest agro target" out of the 7ish choices availible :-/
