Getting really annoy'd by this on PvP Servers. There is no way to turn on Outlaw and have some fun ganking when before you can chain land attacks on people they just dash away and mount up instantly.
This is WAY to forgiving...there is no "Shouts/Slows", Hamstring, fear, or means to slow someone down enough for them not to be able to just dash off and mount up. There is no way to stop them from mounting as once they are mounted it's impossible to catch them.
This ruins the game for me in a lot of ways because the game wants you to have fun openly PvPing but with how the current design is without any form of stopping people from just bailing out its not fun at all it's actually fairly aggravating which has led people to having to out level then corner trap people on like Lumbertowns bridge to get World PvP kills which is just ridiculous.
This should be fixed...some form of spell/skill should be devised for all classes to avoid people from just running from the fight.
Otherwise the only way to get PvP kills at the moment is to severely out-level everyone around you where you just 1 shot everything that moves...but thats not entirely fun / interesting.

It depends on the class but as an example Priests get mezz, most melee get a "Rush" type move that stuns, and then there are a wide assortment of "Glyphs" where some contain a chance to slow/ stun and the like.

You don't read well...I'm level 17 in a 17 zone trying to gank level 17s.
Because I want to see how my class does vs other classes and since Battlegrounds don't work in this Beta...my only means is to turn on outlaw.
But every time I do every fing person just runs away...mounts up and rides to the nearest "carebear" town for safety.

I'm not in a group and you are implying everyone is...has nothing to do with that...the best ganks are solo ganks. In all my years of MMOs I don't think I've group ganked once...Always solo...doesn't serve a purpose for myself if someone else is doing half the work.

I haven't died once on my Slayer.

Slayer at the moment level 17.
@Crucifer - I took a Slayer to 30 and can tell you it gets much better in regard to what you are referencing. You'll notice it in your 20's but look on your skill trainer the skills you'll unlock and should see what I'm talking about.
It's true that as a melee you won't have the Mezz type crowd control from a distance, but you will have a rush that knocks-down and such. In fact, the knockdowns from a slayer make escaping very tough.
Overall though I'd say Tera is even more group-centric than other games we've played. While you can certainly solo in PvE and PvP, you will have far greater satisfaction and fun in groups, even small ones of 2-3 where the classes can compliment each other.
Give any of the classes more of a chance; say to level 30 before drawing conclusions. The skills open them up and the Glyphs allow you to take further advantage of the qualities of the skills you are looking for.
