Well, first of all, "Real PVP" comes from coordinated fights (warzones, battlegrounds, whatever you call it). 1 v 1, 5 v 5, 10 v 10, whatever and open world pvp fighting over world bosses, which, if they run away, you win, because the mob is now NOT being killed by the people you chased off.
So, basically the only situation where running away is bad, is when the PKer is ganking some guy questing or what not.
I see nothing wrong here, just another bad pvper who wants to gank people fighting quest mobs.
Now move along kids.
There's an item in this game that hits enemies some distance away, and you get lots of them as you play along. They are very useful for unmounting someone who tries to run away.
These magical items are called bombs. Learn to use them.
Someone escapes from your attempt at killing them is just a lack of skill on the attackers part. You both have ways to dodge and run, if you cannot predict someone trying to get away and counter accordingly you deserve the loss of a Kill.
I think OP is a Berzerker
You are incorrect or let's just state I disagree. If you were a better killer then then you might not be feeling such.
It just comes down to adding a simple cast time (relatively long) to be allowed to mount up. It should not be a 100% safety net.
Easily one of the funniest posts I've ever seen on any game's forums. A ganker complaining because he's not good enough to get the kill quickly. If you can't bring the person down when I bet they were already at half life while fighting a mob, you're just that bad and no one should have sympathy for you. I mean come on. You have a distracted player at half HP. You have the element of surprise. You get the opener on your terms. What more do you want. Listen to yourself. You are on a forum asking a game developer for help killing people because you can't get the job done on your own. No, EME won't help you by removing another persons free will to walk away from a fight. There are plenty of gankers out there getting the job done. You need to look in the mirror to find out why you're unable to.
