lol @ the part about sorcs. I guess a lot of people must like playing the worst class since aside from warriors I probably see more sorcs than any other class.
I would agree with you if it wasn't like this in every game.
Somewhere along the way to becoming popular the gaming community picked up a trend in the crowd where trying to ruin a game for people became more interesting than actually playing. Likely people too bad to play a game that requires even modest skill (you know, like people who struggle with a certain constantly mentioned MMO notorious for being easymode).
Forums in general are becoming the absolute worst reflection of gaming communities these days between trolls, people who have no understanding of the game but act like they are sages, and those "I spent 15 bucks so I should have a say in its development" guys.
As a gamer who has been around since early EQ, I appreciate when people give some constructive feedback, or point out issues they had or whatever... But I have seen a seriously sharp decline in just general quality of attitude from the communities in video games and... it saddens me. Another post commented on how it could have to do with an increasing catering to the "solo" crowd considering how when you go back rewarding content and near-endgame / endgame advancement grouping was more or less mandatory (and if you were a jerk it would be hard to group and thus much harder to hit cap and get gear).
Dunno what it is, or why, I just know increasingly this sort of behavior generally makes me come off as a much grumpier guy than normal.
I'm a bit slow, but after reading in the OP that slayers and berserkers practically have no differences in how they play, even I got that this has to be a troll.
I love my sorc, especially her mushroom cloud- *BOOM!* that's satisfying.
God these threads are so freaking DULL!
NCSoft are doing more than release a game when GW2 launches, it's a public service - a game saddled with such an enormous amount of hyperbole and with expectation dials set on 11 can only be a good thing, it's MMO troll pheromones.
Reasons to be cheerful.
GW2's beta has already proven it to not live up to its hyperbole. Its a good game sure... but... the *dynamic* events are not as dynamic as they'd wish they are just public events to clear out hubs just like in Rift when rift creatures took over the town. That is about as zone changing as it gets.
But the game itself is still pretty good, I want to get the game for its PvP aspects not its PvE ones which are a little bit of a let down.
I agree wholeheartedly with statements about priest. The only fun/exiting things are healing your party when something gets tough. But yah, you get forced into melee range to deal damage, which is complete [filtered] compared to every other class, and the one or two ranged skills you have do crap damage. Also, I have been using the same main damaging spells for like 25 levels. And, when you are in melee range, it is extremely easy to get one shotted. I just got into CR since I'm level 37 and I have been one shotted like 5 times from silly mistakes, sometimes causing my whole party to wipe. Also, I wish the healing animations didn't take so goddamn long, sometimes I cant even keep up with the rate at which someone is taking damage. Not only that, but as I gain levels I started to notice that my heals do less and less compared to the other classes health.
fail troll is fail
only bothered to post original message and never came back.
