With the final Tera closed beta coming to an end tonight. On behalf of DooM I would like to thank our sponsor NCSoft.

As many of you already know, thanks to the support of NCSoft, both supplying us with tera beta keys and money towards our website. I think we did you guys proud, I'm sure many people wont buy Tera now, due to the amount of low level ganking we achieved on behalf of you.

For the people that don't know the full story to keep things simple. NCSoft paid us to annoy and put off as many people from playing Tera as possible. This was due to both guild wars 2 coming out around the same time as Tera and the law suit they currently have against blue hole.

once again thank you NCSoft, you know where we are when you require our services again.

I sincerely hope this is some sort of a joke :(

Whether it is or not, it seems pretty frivolous -- I played pvp in cbt, now I am rolling on pve server..
I don't see why most people who played pvp and hated getting ganked wouldn't just use a pve server

No way.
If you receive money from someone for something dubious you would never announce it. Otherwise noone would hire you again.

This is just a group of people who are fed up with the OWPvP system, and just made that post to say "the OWPvP is so bad that even other companies are using it to sabotage the game"

I agree w/ Lythos..

It would be like being paid to ruff up or kill someone of power then going out and annoying it to the guys at the local pub.

Sounds like mindless b.s. to me.

Considering the tone of some posters in the forums, not to name any one specifically but you might still be able to search for a thread in which one in particular was censored by VelikaNigh[filtered]ch in practically the entire thread, I don't find this to be quite credible. People online are not known for their intelligence and foresight when it comes to posting online. It is also very plausible that the poster believed that posting on their own website would stay on their website.

i wrote a big response but i guess it didnt post it. if this is true then

a. extremely illegal. like paying someone from burger king to work at mcdonalds and just spit in burgers all day long

b. pvp is part of the game, and besides the trolls and casuals, noone i know hates the OWpvp, i mean wow, the most sucsessful MMO out right now, and it has open world pvp. even on pve servers.

c. from what i heard and can see, the guild was noone near a bunch of professionals, and the website looks like it can be made for 5$ a month

i think it's just reverse viral marketing, that wont work.

...yeah,, if a company like NCSoft gave them money for their website, then they obviously didn't appreciate their services. That website looked like crap.
