Seen as how this will be a semi-twitch based action pvp game. I hope they consider placing servers for all to have a decent connection for the servers they are playing on.

West/Central/East.

Has there been any word on server locations?

Unconfirmed. They've consistently denied the location of their game servers for a variety of reasons. The QA server, was local, but it was not the game server.

Yeah a lot of people are upset about it, personally I am on the East coast and would like a local server to play on.

Well, they have to have multiple locations to please everyone in a game like this.

I am on the west coast, and if the servers are located on the east coat only, than I will not be playing this game. Yes, in a game like this, ping does matter.

I am on the west coast, and if the servers are located on the east coat only, than I will not be playing this game. Yes, in a game like this, ping does matter.


And you'll be judging your ping based on experiences in other games, which included other variables. If you get in, test it yourself before leaping to 'WUT I WUNT PLAY'.

It's basic knowledge if you know anything about computers/internet.

The distance between the server and the user have a lot to do with gameplay when it comes to fps/twitch based games. Tera is a twitch based pvp game so it matters.

Why buy the game when you already know the answer to the question? I am not saying I won't play, ATM. I am awaiting on the beta and the announcements of the server locations. I already pre-ordered on day 1 so I am obviously giving it a chance.

I mentioned variables, you named a single variable. As of now, we only have words from Pat Wyatt that they're going top quality at high cost, which is something a number of other companies won't pay for, meaning it's better to 'wait and see' then assume.
