So, Democracy is dead...

...so long as cross-server voting alliances exist in this game.

Seriously, as long as you can vote on multiple servers, there's no point to trying to pander to the public.

Know all those really cool campaign videos? Yeah, kiss those goodbye. No one will be making those when they realize that their time is MUCH better spent getting 300 person guilds on other servers to level alts on their server and vote for them in exchange for them doing the same.

The ONLY solution is to make it so each account can vote on ONE server and one server alone.

And really, how many players play seriously on multiple servers?

Please, EME, save Democracy from the fangs of cross-server alliances and I'm sure you'll see more of those campaign videos you love so much.

Cross server anything should just be a NO.

I support making voting only allowed once on a PvP server, and then once on a PvE server, for a total of 2 votes per account.

I still think it just needs to be 1 server per account, period.

If people are willing to buy multiple accounts to vote on those, not much we can do to stop them.

But with 11 servers total, you can see why forming cross-server voting alliances is a much better time investment than, say, campaigning.

Would be nice to see them block the ability to cross-vote. If only so threads like these stop popping up. Tired of drama surrounding the votes. Fix it so the loser guilds have no scapegoat for why they lost.

Destian is one of more level-headed posters and this issue is legit.

That said, I'm not sure I agree with 1 server per account. It wouldn't be hard to restrict voting to one server you can set, or restrict transfers' abilities to vote, or restrict the number of transfers allowed...etc
there's just so many ways to fix this that wouldn't stop me from playing alts with other people.

This too.

I haven't seen much complaining about that YET, but it'll come. As soon as one guild who got 8th last election gets 2nd the next election, the accusations are gonna FLY...

I think it'd be fine if each account can only vote on one server.

Make no mistake, what I'm describing is asking your entire guild to level alts to 20 on other servers (which would go fairly quickly if done in groups and if you got vanarch mounts by joining your ally guilds on other servers temporarily until you hit 20).

But I ain't gonna lie: I don't want to have to do this. I like PLAYING Tera, not having it for another job.

why are you always telling people to quit the game. I'm sure the company doesn't appreciate you telling their subscribers to quit when they are giving constructive criticism and suggestions to help improve the game. Especially considering many things are on the forums are added or changed, its called feedback.
