When are you going to remove the Lancer class and set us all to Warriors?

Seriously.. the ONE thing we had on warriors.. is now gone.

Someone explain to me why anyone would want to play a Lancer now that Warriors are getting there dodges and OUR block, and we are getting shafted?

Lancers are getting a backstep and a dps move while warriors are getting a block and a debuff.

I see nothing changing once that patch rolls around, besides more tanks in LFD.

The patch coming today though is a different story, making warrior tanking a little too easy, hopefully they decrease the buffs very rapidly as people get used to warrior tanking and learn boss patterns.

Backstep, unlike the Warrior's Version of Dodge, has no Invulnerability frames, making it utter useless while tanking, and It can't phase us though the mobs that just walk behind us and open our tin can bums up.

They get our Block in all of it's glory, So why are we not getting something that made them what they are?

How about a Passive toggle like their Defense Mode that increase our Balance, End, and Aggro gen? We are wearing about 40 tons of metal, it should be easy to knock us down to begun with!

Lancers kicked berserkers from pary, now cry when competition incoming? Is it not funny? :D

Im at a loss for words.


I just find it hard to believe i leveled this P.o.S. to 60 and boy was it a dreadful experience. I didnt have friends to zoom me through the zones. All because i enjoyed being the tough defensive tank in instances. I never once booted any player out of my groups and many, many times i should have. I recieved so many compliments on my tanking it was overall a very, very fun experience for running instances.

I would also like to add that even on my dps characters, including a zerker, ive never seen a lancer "kick" a player out of group because of greed. The lancer vs zerker incident isnt as widespread as people would have you believe. But i will tell you what is widespread; dps characters moaning and complaining constantly about other group members that should be replaced. If you pay attention, its rarely the tank, and others that match *their* armor type.

Lancers get all the hate though, which is total bull[filtered] as well. Ive purposely not booted players that went afk a few minutes without giving notice, pulling random mobs including bosses, not listening on fight mechanic details in chat etc etc. Why dont we boot? Because tanks are generally played by team oriented players. We are here to enjoy the content as a group. We dont get to see the fun numbers, but we do get to protect others and its fun for us. Booting everyone we come across for no good reason, considering untill endgame we all just buy gear off the broker just doesnt make sense.

We have a team mentality or we wouldnt play such a sluggish class that has absolutely terrible damage and we are required to level at least 1 more character to endgame and gear to be able to farm gold properly (imo).

These changes are total bull[filtered]. They are overboard. They are unfair. They are disrespectful to your current tanking core. They do not prove the majority of warriors will queue even as a tank. Its almost insulting.

Out of instances, warriors dont have to deal with any of the headaches the former "main" tanks do? And where does that leave us?

Im not sure, but i will tell you this, i will tell you where it leaves *you*....


Anyone with even a high school education will look at these patch notes and think you are amateur. I hope that is a polite way of putting it. Changes like this do not spell a happy future for any game.

None of us are unfamiluar with knee-jerk balancing. Its not a fun experience.

My final point;

Rather you as a player, or them as the devs choose to take this route? It doesnt matter. From here, people will leave this game. They probably wont return. Even people that dont even own warriors and lancers. Watch and see.


This game isnt perfect but i have ignored every single thing till now. I cannot believe they chose to buff warrior tanking in this way, and expecting everyone to believe the buffs will be fully removed after the end of summer patch.

If they expect to remove buffs this substantial, and not completely kill a class, causing bad reputation for their game and probably losing even more players (which at the end of summer, will definitely matter to them) of course we know there is a high possibility the buffs will not be completely removed, unless the incoming buffs are *very* substantial. At minimum? Blocking as well as a lancer, at minimum.

It's better now than it was before but to say it's more so dps causing problems, at least from my experience, seems absurd.

Run the instances as a lancer. For some reason you're normally made leader. When dps wants someone out of group or has complaints, they are going to message you. It gets old.
Really old.


And second, please man. Thinking the damage output/farming ability and/or leveling experience is anything similar as to playing a lancer or a warrior you are sadly mistaken or maybe even, absurd, as you would put it.

Just my opinion. Ive played both. Clearly, you havent.
