The melodrama of these chicken little posts from Lancers is too much.


Meh I solo'd a warrior from 1-60 and both deserts as well as Habere were living hell and the 2-4 hour dungeon queues didn't help. They may think leveling a lancer is the only tough class in the game but just like lancers, warriors also suffer from increased damage from normal mobs, poor range/AOE, and poor damage and it results in plenty of downtime.

I'm sure lancer was harder but they seem to think warriors level like a slayer, zerk or sorc which isn't even close.

I was always envious while leveling watching any of those classes plowing through groups of mobs while i'd have to bandage after fighting one.

Hey there Slubber. If you were reading, which I guess you weren't, I just said I leveled them both. Warrior was easier BY FAR. Not even a comparison. I didn't mind the "you are a tank, leveling is going to suck and your damage is too." That's what I signed up for. I REALLY have to wonder about your instance "stories." I NEVER EVER waited more than an hour for any instance to pop and ran every one at least a few times, except summit since that place can die in a fire.

Warrior had the awesome advantage of plowing through mobs and being able to solo BAMs in a decent amount of time. My lancer could kill everything, and I soloed lots of BAMs as well, but it took amazingly longer than warrior. How you claim to have had a "hellish time" on warrior blows my mind.

I like tanks so I leveled both of them. They each had a trade off that, since they were tanks in different ways, I didn't mind. Now that trade off isn't there for warrior while it is still there for lancer. That is what is wrong here. If all the haters took off their rose colored glasses, or were placed in the same situation, they would understand. Am I going to quit lancer? Nope. Do I still love lancer? Yep. Do I find this cutting corners approach utterly offensive? Definitely.

Oh yes, dps people getting shorter queue times is such a HUGE issue!
We can't have that, no, they should be punished for playing the classes they enjoy by having to wait at the very least an hour to get into a dungeon.
It's obviously not fair that you, who suffered a bit leveling a class you chose to level, because you leveled all alone and not in a group, and enjoyed instant queues up until now, will get some competition from people who chose a different class.


Now, seriously, why roll a lancer? Maybe because you like playing a lancer? Believe it or not, some people actually enjoy playing as lancers. Crazy, huh?
It's not like people roll Mystics because they love the also stupidly low dps, useless thralls and half-decent heals.

Did you level a warrior or lancer to 60 first?

And I kid you not, my longest queue was for LoT which was just over 4 hours.

Believe me, I know, I've got a 48 Lancer along with my Warrior and it's not THAT much easier to solo quests being that large group pulls generally take about half of my health down on my Warrior before everything is dead.

Forgive me if I don't feel sorry for Lancers after having 2 whole months of insta-queues while simultaneously having no competition for gear at their will most of the time because people using the DF had no alternative.

You had the experience and knowledge from leveling to 60 on a previous character presumably making the route with a warrior much easier due to your past knowledge, personally leveling a warrior as my first character to 60 and doing it almost entirely solo was not very pleasant.

Outside of the nice scenery that is, i'm not trying to say warrior is harder or just as easy but what i'm trying to say is that it isn't [filtered] night and day like some lancer tend to think. The difference isn't that great, if it was, I would have never partied up with lancers when I had the opportunity because they would be a hindrance, which they most certainly were not.


Currently leveling a slayer, now that, that is [filtered] night and day, even between my warrior. it's leveling bliss.

When are you going to remove the Lancer class and set us all to Warriors?

Seriously.. the ONE thing we had on warriors.. is now gone.

Someone explain to me why anyone would want to play a Lancer now that Warriors are getting there dodges and OUR block, and we are getting shafted?


There will still be DPS Warriors...... So much fuss about nothing. The buffs are temporary and will be tuned out over time by making it less and less.

(Warriors need time to adjust you know. We never had the luxuary of queueing as Tanks. Imagine a noob tanking warrior in FoK, its not for the warriors sake but for the party.)

Do you know for a fact our block and your block will be the same?

I know from my experience that even leveling as a group of 3 on my warrior it seemed slow at times..

Level'd lancer to 60 with a healer and sorc first and was pretty quick.. Pulling the max amount of mobs and letting the sorc aoe.. Instant queue times.. Easy to find dps for bam quests..

When we started our 2nd toons it was quite the opposite.. I made a warrior to tank and had a warrior and sorc dps with me the whole time.. With out heals and due to cooldowns I was unable to tank as many.. Thought with more dps it would be no problem but I was wrong.. When it came to instances we were forced to use the dungeon finder since I could never find a healer for anything.. Came down to long queue times and 3 manning bams using bandages to heal.. For me it was alot slower then leveling a lancer imo..

Although I can't speak of solo leveling.. But for me it was faster leveling the lancer then the warrior in a party..
