Situational awareness still exists, you just have to take a fraction of a second to do instead of doing it while you do something else. Because of situational awareness I was never ganked bay anyone on a pvp server.
I think your definition of being aware of your surroundings and mine is very different. In other MMOs I am constantly moving that camera around, not just occasionally taking a peek (like many of the people who end up getting caught by surprise). If you're doing that in Tera to the extent that I do it in other MMOs, you're obviously not facing the mob 99% of the time. And somehow I doubt that. ;)

You know what skill is lost in Tera? Situational awareness.
Play a healer if you want an exercise of situational awareness in TERA.

Keeping track of...
-The range from you to the healing targets.
-The range in which you're endangered by the boss' attacks.
-The positioning of you vs. your healing circles.
-What the boss is about to do.
-If you get moved around, what the obstacles around you are.
...is both challenging and fun.

That's because he's a CRITIC, not a reviewer.
He doesn't say whether or not you should spend your money on it (Unless he has strong opinions on it), he's just there to pick out the faults and areas where the game shines.

i've bought a game even after watching Yahtzee ripe the game. witcher 2 for example. he hated it but it didnt turn me from buying it.
also shouldnt expect anything positive from him for tera or any mamor-pagogs. he seems to hate all things multiplayered.

It's called moving around the mob in such a way you get a view of many angles as you fight.
