It kinda sucks that the VERY first thing people see in chat upon logging in is goldsellers advertising in global chat.
Am I hoping against hope that this doesn't turn out to be Aion 2.0? :\
hopefully they wown't last. But every game has gold sellers in the beginning. Even EVE where blue got the Chronoscroll system from (EVE called them PLEX) had gold sellers in the beginning. but since everyone was buying PLEX instead of RMT eventually RMT spams died out
Past the intro island (lvl 10 or 11) have not seen a single message from a gold seller. Problem appears to be localized to the starting zone.
I just wish they'd fix whatever issue it is preventing me from clicking on names in the chat window to block them.. I have to add anyone I block to my friendslist/blocklist manually as in there is no option for me in the drop down menu.
Havent seen any goldsellers yet thankfully
The "Chronoscroll Fix" hasn't been implemented yet because the game hasn't gone live. Once that is implemented, it will deter a lot of the gold-sellers.
The goldseller spam in Aion was nothing compared to the plague of bots. I took a video once and posted it in the Aion forums of a lvl 16-20 area that was a popular bot farming spot, and counted (and showed) over twenty different bots in about two minutes.
Doubtful. The bots in general work by running around in circles while auto-target-next-enemy button spamming until one comes up, then engaging with predetermined skills.
The simple fact that there is no auto-targeting in this game will drastically undermine how bots fundamentally work. Eventually we'll probably see a botting programmer with an answer, but it won't be quick or easy.
