So the number of channels got stealth nerfed

I know it's not as big of a deal for a lot of players but I'm on a pvp server. Having all players forced into a single zone is more than annoying. Pvp is the point of it all, but I should also have the option to quest in relative peace if I want it. If EME wants to continue to force all these kinds of changes on players without getting around to actually putting in battlegrounds, I can't see myself playing this game after my trial runs out as much as I may want to. It's bad management no matter how you look at it. Sure it does promote more pvp by forcing it, but they shouldn't have to do it this way.

If you would like to quest in relative peace, come join us on Arachnaea!

I am utterly baffled that anyone who knowingly plays on a PvP server would complain that they are forced into PvP.

I can confirm this. Even on a PvE server the minimum number of channels no longer seems to be 4. I logged in long enough to see there were only 2 channels available for the zone I happened to be in (where as there are normally at least 4 since the last change).

A bit surprising considering the overwhelming negative feedback on the forum when it was reduced from 8 to 4.

This is one of the most poorly managed MMOs at launch i've ever seen. Theres little to no feedback to players and EmE doesn't seem to give a crap what we think or not. I was going to play both Tera and gw2, but if enmasse doesn't convince me soon that they're not incompetent I'l only be playing one of the 2. And they might be able to guess which one

the # of zones depends on how many players are in that zone. It's there to prevent people from waiting around to kill mob's, not really for you to avoid other players (although we all use it that way). If you only want to pvp in battlegrounds, that's what PVE servers are for... I really don't know what else to say...Everyone want's to roll on pvp server, but no one wants to pvp if they are questing...... (yes i believe ganking is pvp, the lower player is just at a big disadvantage, same with difference in gear and/or skill)

I'm sorry but I'm on BC, another PvP server, and I think this is a good thing. Most PvP servers in other games don't have any channels at all - the idea being it's a PvP server, so you want to PvP. The fact that we even have a few here is nice.

Yes I can sympathize with wanting to quest and not be bothered because sometimes we all like to just zone out and kill stuff. But part of rolling on a PvP server is PvPing and if you change your mindset and think of it differently it can make things a lot more fun - think of it as a fun distraction from questing where you can have a battle or two and then get back to the grind. Or you can switch channels and keep an eye out for reds making sure to run away before they get to you. Not to mention, this game is easier and more fun when you quest with other people anyway so I'd suggest that as well. Once you get higher level the channels disappear anyway so if they're disappearing at a lower level it doesn't change much to be honest. It keeps things interesting.

Also it's worth mentioning - EME has already told us they would be doing this. It was mentioned on several occasions that the channels were only a temporary measure to accommodate the large influx of new low level players. But now that the playerbase is spread out a bit more in levels/zones and many of us are 60, they are fixing the channels to how they always intended them to be long term.

I'm on a pve server that isn't too populated, so I don't care. God forbid people were being pushed into grouping up to accomplish quests/grinding.
