Some feedback

I just wanted to say, after trying out the 7 day trial for a the past 8 hours, TERA has got me hooked.

Not only does it provide a fantastic combat experience, but the graphics it harbors is CRAZY mesmerizing - and even that doesn't do it justice.

Oh yea, one more thing, the soundtrack for the HUMAN race at the character creating screen is f***ing AMAZING. I have been listening to it over and over.

Hands down, this is the best MMORPG out there so far. Great work TERA developers... you really impressed me.

Would be interesting BEFORE/AFTER if you post feedback to this thread after you hit 60 for two weeks (assuming you get there).... :)

Firstly i would like to say that i agree with the OP. Secondly im level 60 and my opinion still hasnt changed about this game. The graphics are still gorgeous, the designs of the environments are breath-taking and the best ive seen in any MMO. Game-play is still addictive, and there is still tons of things to keep me busy for a long time.

This is frightening but all of these listed here are exactly the same reasons that hooked me in. I found the character creation to be amazing and I actually found myself sitting and listening to the sound track replay over and again. My personal favorite is Aman sounftrack.

But.......

Sorry to burst your bubble but after getting to around level 40+ the above mentioned slowly started to wear off and I found myself forcing myself to play because the questing is so friggin repetitive and boring. Not to mentioned crafting is a snore fest and enchanting is completely broken.

Here is my advise. If questing is really important to you, than this is not the game for you. If you do not mind grinding to max level, go for it. You can get Tera on a major discount and perhaps in a few months EME will make some improvements.

I recommend, if you have trouble with questing, to buddy up and duo the quests. I quested on my priest solo for a while, and it was tedious, but still fun - similar to most questing I've done in other MMOs. Then I dragged a friend into TERA and we both rolled new characters; things die so quickly that questing through areas is such a breeze. We're both now almost to sixty, and we've played these characters casually for a little under a month.

So if questing starts slowing down, I definitely recommend a buddy.

I'm in the same boat. I have two lvl 60s now, a Mystic and an Archer. The graphics and combat are unmatched at this point in MMORPG history. I am finding myself somewhat bored lately with the same old thing over and over again. Farm cash, Q for dungeons for enchant fodder, FAIL enchant, repeat cycle. But....there's just nothing else out there that looks like I can stand playing it for more than a few hours. I've considered going back to games like WoW, Rift, or SWTOR where I have max level characters waiting to be picked back up, but the thought of going back to tab targetting and stupidly predictable AI.....just makes me shudder with horror. So I keep playing and hoping EmE and Bluehole will get around to fixing most of the bugs, and bringing more content to spice things up and keep me interested.
