I am not very tech savvy, but I feel as though something like this, which a lot of people desire, should be able to be fixed in one day. How hard is it really to allow warriors to queue as tank and DD? I heard EME will be bringing the patch *soon*, but how much longer do you guys think it will take?

The skill requirement for a Warrior to properly tank is miles above that of the Lancer. This would cause a lot of issues with "terrible" Warrior tanks queuing up for dungeons. Believe me, you don't want to see the mess that follows.

Warrior queues as tank and says "oh I'm actually dps"

So maybe they should just make a second dedicated tank class? I mean some of these queue times are just... horrendous =/. And not everyone that wants to be a tank will necessarily like the... very unique style of lancer.

I'm all for letting Warriors queue as tank, as that's probably what most, or at least some of them rolled a Warrior to do.

The only problem is tanking things as a Warrior at 60 is ridiculous. Not only that, but everyone prefers Lancers because they keep the bosses still a lot better.

Letting Warrior tanks into the queues would just cause a ton of disastrous, incomplete dungeon runs. It would probably reach the point where people just kick Warrior tanks right off the bat, unfortunately.

You don't need warriors to be able to queue as tanks, they just need to stop being lazy and type this:


"/a Warrior tank LFG for _____ instance" ...you'd be surprised how many people will jump on it to get out of the queue.

Although I do not recommend queuing as warrior tank for any instance after Akasha's lair if you are not highly experienced. Before then you can be a decent warrior and do fine, but after, you need dem skills and full knowledge of the dungeon to tank. Also, glyph for threat or use threatening crystals if you're planning on making groups being a warrior tank.

I really, really dislike this imbalance in LFD. AVG zerker wait time 30m-2hrs, Getting insta kicked 20%, Lancer losing a roll on gear 80% chance to leave, Party wipes 50% chance to leave.

so basically my time to get a real dungeon run 1.5 hours - 6.5 hours of LFD.

It wouldn't be fair to let warriors queue as dps or tanks, would it? Until warriors get a huge dps nerf to bring them down to a lancer, they won't be able to queue as tank. Or, give lancers a huge dps buff and let us queue as dps. But wait, that wouldn't be fair to the other classes either, would it? Warriors would be insanely op to have the tanking/defensive capabilities as a lancer AND high dps. As it stands now, warriors do NOT have equal tanking ability as a lancer. That's why it takes god like skill to tank as one, it's nigh impossible to tank high level dungeons with one, and Tera doesn't allow you to queue as one. As a lancer, I can only queue as tank. Healers are healers. Dps are dps. Why should a warrior get to queue as both? You want to tank, fine, you get some tank buffs/skills but you say goodbye to your dps and viability as such in the game. Can't have both.

And where does it say warriors will be able to queue as tanks in the upcoming update/patch? I've seen a link to a dev Q/A someone posted, and in there it talks about getting stamina bars and such, but no where does it say warriors will be able to queue as tanks.
