Source File checksum error after patch?

We should have the launcher patched by this evening. If you're unable to patch the game (or are hesitant to mess with your files like I am) the launcher will auto fix in a few hours.
Sorry for the delay. :(

Hello everyone,

Some users are experiencing this issue because the file ReleaseRevision.txt was modified by the game and cannot be patched. I am currently recreating the patch to address this, but in the meantime, you can follow this quick workaround.

1. Download this file
http://patch.tera.enmasse-game.com/temp/ReleaseRevision.txt
2. Place file in TERA\client\binaries
3. Relaunch tera-launcher.exe and patch

I spoke with our CS team and there are two distinct issues. One deals with ReleaseRevision.txt and another deals with TERA.exe patching. This may explain why the fix works for some and not others.

These are the types of things that cause me to hit the unsub button. I have little tolerance for this.

Agreed.

Thank you Batgirl! It isn't the quick fix we all were hoping for, but at least it's something. And thank you for keeping us posted which is more than a lot of other 'officials' from other games do.

*sigh*

Your archives are broken. Apart from that I am able to press the "Play"-Button again after applying your patch but unfortunately my windows now tells me the following:

Unsupported 16-bit application
The D:\Program Files (x86)\TERA\Client\Binaries\TERA.exe can't be executed because it is not an 64-bit application.

Mind uploading a 64-bit compatbile TERA.exe? :p

haha this is what happened with the 12-13 file :P. But the archive isn't really broken. Right click the zip and select extract files, then select your tera directory, then ignore the invalid archive error window, it unzips the files just fine.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I did (ignoring the error) though I felt a bit uncomfortable doing so.

Were you able to fix the 64-bit system error?

Unfortunantly no, had to re-download from 7-13 xD

i think the best way is you give us a file:11-12,than we can repatch it

I don't understand. This won't unzip at all. Do we need to rename it or something? :\

As a note, there is always the re-patch from scratch option. TERA has 3 payloads, launcher, game, en. For this issue, the game patch is having issues. deleting game.version from your TERA directory will re-patch the entire game, as the patcher will think that you lack an entire game client. It's long, and not ideal, but probably faster than uninstall/re-install.

I believe ideally you would make sure everything works before releasing it to the consumer.
