Still no Windows 8 Support?

We've been waiting for a couple of weeks now. Windows 8 Consumer/Developer Preview is released(mainly) so software development companies can make sure their software is ready when it is released. It can't be that hard to fix, it worked a few weeks ago...

This has to be sooo far down on their list of priorities right now.

If you want to use the newest not ready for release operating system you need to come to terms with the fact not everything is going to work with it.

Microsoft themselves suggest a dual boot configuration for testing windows 8 for this very reason.

Wasn't windows 8 mostly intended for tablets and phones anyway? Or am I wrong?

Why would they name a tablet/phone OS "8" when their current desktop OS is "7"?

Windows 8 is Microsoft's next desktop OS. I haven't found any other games or software that don't work other than Tera. All of my Steam games, my Adobe software, WoW, D3, SC2 all work flawlessly.

Primarily yes... you pretty much have to hack the interface to get it looking like a normal pc operating system and not something made for a touchscreen.

Basically every other windows has sucked... it's been that way fairly reliably since the beginning.

Seriously though, windows 8 is meant to be Microsoft trying to push into the tablet market.
I'm sure apple will try to sue them for it anytime now. They're getting nexus phones pulled from the shelves at this very moment.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is of the operating system, guys. The fact of the matter is that a game developer is kicking themselves in the proverbial balls by not making sure their program works on an OS that will be standard on new PCs very soon.

So they should just quit everything they are doing, dump fixing any of the problems with the game and focus soley on dealing with this new operating system that as of this point in time doesn't even have a official release date?

Yeah, that makes a ton of sense.
Following your advice they likely wouldn't be here to have to worry about windows 8 release as they would be down to about 4 subs.

Brian Knox on his AMA said that a Windows 8 build went into testing already. So hopefully we will get the patch soon!
