My lancer friend absolutely hates archer's because they almost ALWAYS pull boss aggro. and with the range they are at, sometimes the boss practically sprints towards them, dodging the taunts. and then running around the zone because the archer is spazzing out. Randomly killing the healer in the process.

I'll be damn... proof of archer's ability to dps. Kick [filtered]. :p

I actually take pride in ripping aggro from my lancer when I'm on my sorc. That means I'm doing my job and hurt the [filtered]. My lancer friend doesn't mind though. Just tells him where his flaws in his game are.

I was a tanker in Aion. Whenever peopel complained about me, I just stopped tanking.

I've encountered NUMEROUS bad healers and people who did not even know what is aggro and they always blamed me because of their ignorance. What to do? Usually the tank is the group leader. Simply stop doing what you're doing. Don't tank anymore.

If you're actually doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about. Competent people will acknowledge you know what you're doing and stupid morons will only cry.

Any equally geared dps can rip aggro from a boss, it's our job to make sure we don't. that rain of arrows skill is usually what does it.

And yes I won't deny that archers have extreme burst damage, so anyone who says they suck at damage is just dumb. which is why archers need to calm down. Wiping a group to show how powerful you are is not the answer.

If a Sorceror knows they can dodge and the boss is a slow mover, ripping aggro so the melee can revive lancer who is directly under the boss is actually a useful tool. I can't always control where the healer is, and they are often the first to take aggro while they frantically hammer buttons trying to revive lancer.

If they then die to lag, and you [filtered] them out, be prepared that they will leave.

Teleport jaunt is a bloody laggy spell at times.

The moral of the story, I will never, beyond game advice that you can employ RIGHT away tell you to learn to play, and I expect the same from you, and so does lancer.

For example, telling people all sitting at fireplace where to farm panacea is helpful. "Learn to dodge" is not.

Sometimes the tank is married to one of the DPS so don't lthink you are safe having a pop at the DPS. Sorry but there you go.

If you're typing criticism halfway through playing then that's something immediate that YOU can learn not to do.

Healing in this game is unusually fun. With a seasoned group it's a joy - a symphony of perfection. With a bunch of nubsicles its unadulterated hell.

The other day I grouped with a bunch of people - really nice guys - had a good time. Two of the DPS were warriors,. one barely took any damage at all. The other was constantly eating stomps 80% insta shaves off his life and debuffs. I was not healing the tank or the other warrior, I was basicvally spam healing that other warrior. Again, nice , didn't place blame on me just kept silent (smart move). I endearingly called him "The Sponge." Cuz that's all he did, sponge all the heals.

Part of the role of a well played DPS is not only damage, but crowd and aggro control and - to take as little damage as possible.

And that, boys and girls, is the reason there are relatively fewer healers and tanks than there are DPS: It's because of the DPS .....shhhh....they're touchy about that subject....

May the blaming game end....
Tankers aren't superman who's only weakness is a small green stone.
Healer aint no god who can predict who need to be heal next.
DPS... seriously? you not suppose to take damage... stop standing in 1 spot... you not invulnerable you know....

I agreed to you up til the last point where you contradicted yourself.

And I bounce all over the place. Sometimes I bounce out of one attack, right into another.

That is life, and that's the game, and the minute the DPS are able to dodge all damage (which is the point I will quit, as games that do this are too easy) is the minute the healer becomes utterly redundant.

Saying this I have proven, to my surprise - I'm extremely self critical - that I can beat a high end boss without the healer. But it takes a considerable amount of longer time to do, kiting and praying you don't pull aggro. The healer is there for a reason and I find this game well balanced.

Do not criticise anyone, do not put up with them criticising you (leave) and eventually we will have a game with a better community.

I do not curse anyone out unless they begin whining or talking crap. for example deciding to kill the sloths in Baldurs temple, which probably takes 1 minute. and having the lancer Whine about it and then leave group. that results in being cursed out.

I actually quit playing lancer because of my lag.

It got extreme boring just using shield because I knew that if I tried anything else and the shield refused to go up I was screwed. Also knew that inevitably people would call me out for just using shield.

My husband: "people don't mind if you just use shield" well maybe not, doesn't prevent them from wrecking their own DPS to take time out to type digs at you.

I have taken to saying, at the start of dungeons now, that I am lagged, nd telling me to dodge is not helpful.

I will also test my teleport jaunt at start of dungeon. This is not always an indicator though.

We're both playing on one connection and my husband's computer is wired, mine is wireless so he takes the priority.

I am guessing plenty of people would tell me to stop playing under such conditions.

Many moons ago when I was a little squirt I had a similar issue. I fixed it with a 50 foot cable to reach the modem.
