Stop calling them DPS.

DD or DPS really doesn't matter which you use, so long as people understand what you're trying to communicate. Personally I think of DD as direct damage rather than damage dealer as that's what I remember it being in DAoC.
But a DD class/nuker was one of those basic party components like tanks, heals, mez, or support classes like Skalds anyway so it's works just as well as it meaning damage dealer, maybe even better.

Look, if people call my guardian and protector of the party a fraking MEAT SHIELD we're calling you DPS. -.- And just to add to it, I'm not saying the individual letters. You're now known as Dips. Hi Dips. That sword you own? Sorta looks like a stick, so I'll call it a dipstick from now on.

Dips? thought people said deeps

Not saying the individual letters, so if you try to say it it comes out like dips. :V

Most everyone says it with a longer D-E sound, so it sounds like Deeps. When people say deeps, that's what they're referring to.

Also, dat butt hurt OP, might look into buying some cream for that.

I think I should point out that both warrior and archer are specifically referred to in their description as DPS.

The other "DD" classes are referred to as burst damage.

SO

DPS and BDs

When I reply to people saying they need DPS I say; "I can DPS" or "I can DD" I don't say "I am DPS"

Doesn't make sense, but it doesn't really bother me as much as "Their" "they're" "there", "an" and "A". Now that makes me trip the hell out!

(Okay I meant to press the button to send this through ages ago and never actually did!)

Can we please stop refering to the DD classes as DPS, this is not a tab target auto attack rotation mmo. The Zerker/War/Arch/Sorc/Slayer are Damge Dealers (DD) Not [filtered]ign dps. damage per second is nto important in this game, dealing damage while surviving and not getting hit to save you healer's heals for your tank is important.

So, as a community could we please stop callign them DPS and go back to the old (correct) title of DD?

Honestly call it w/e you want, but does it really [filtered] matter O.o? if everyone understands what a dps or dd class is does the acronym really make a difference?
