No, terrible idea. Please EME and BHS never let anything of this nature have place in Tera pls it will ruin this game. Each character should be one class. No--off specs or tri specs. This is for lazy peopleand it causes a need for more laziness, crying and heartache in the game then need be. keep the game as is and let the people who want to play, play the game for what it is. Dual specs and such ruin games. if peeps dont want to be healers or tanks or dps--level an alt. For one, that is how people learn to play thier toons better by leveling them. Being able to change a toon at max level is like buying a toon off of E-bay. It's easy but everyone knows right away that you have no clue of what you are doing and did not level that toon.

You're misunderstanding the concept, it's nothing like tri-speccing or offspeccing. Try again. You're talking about a completely different thing.

I don't know how so many of you completely misunderstand the basis of the concept.

YOU STILL HAVE TO LEVEL EVERY JOB. IT'S EXACTLY LIKE MAKING AN ALT.

its totally something else, you will roll and ninja everythig for your another classes. When something seems hard in dungeon, quest, you just swamp your character level to another maxed level class and beat it. you see someone and want to kill him, change class, etc etc. you just down boss to 99%, run out of combat change class so you get xp, etc etc this would need totally change Teras concept.

NONONONO

you beg here for concept of another game, not something trivial .....

@Waiden: ....what? nothing you just said makes any sense.

"you will roll and ninja everythig for your another classes."
No you won't.... There are loot rules in place RIGHT NOW that would prevent that, and if you were capable of rolling on something, it should be free play for everyone in your group anyways. Considering no one else would be on the job capable of using the item.

"When something seems hard in dungeon, quest, you just swamp your character level to another maxed level class and beat it."
- Leveling or dungeon quests or whatever would be locked to the specific job that you attained them on. You wouldn't be able to say... get a level 60 quest, finish it, switch jobs and hand it in, that would obviously be broken. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding you, which is entirely possible because you're just face smashing your keyboard in rage at a concept that you've probably never experienced before and thus are afraid of.

"you see someone and want to kill him, change class, etc etc."
- You can do that in the current setup anyways by LOGGING TO AN ALT.

"you just down boss to 99%, run out of combat change class so you get xp,"
- What? Just... what?! That's not how it works... First of all, you'd have to run all the way back to a capitol city to change job, and thus you'd need someone else to be holding the mob for you for like 10~15 minutes for you to run away and do that, so... what? You sir are just silly.

You can't ninja loot considering that looting gives priority to classes that are rolling so even if a lancer or zerker rolls on cloth or leather, they won't get it if there's a cloth or leather user rolling on it. So it debunks your fears of people ninja'ing gear.

Totally not for this. I've played games with this (FFXI isn't the only one); it is a unique and interesting system. However, when you get known for playing a certain "role" you get stuck in it. It doesn't matter how close you and your mates are, if you're the best healer--you're leveling healer, even if you like slayer better. Why? Cause they need you. If you don't? Likely no one's going to go out to do anything. It creates a lot of unessential stress.

I LIKE having characters that are 1 class. I enjoy having different race/class combinations on my alts. While I understand that other people may wish to condense these elements; I find that being able to reroll on a whim is much nicer than being stuck on one character who can do quite a few things. If I want to heal, I'll log on my Elin priest. If I want something else, I can log on my alt and run around as a total newbie to the class. Some degrees of separation are useful.

Granted, I don't expect everyone to agree with me but I did want to include my 10 cents worth.

No one is saying you CAN'T roll an alt, subclassing doesn't eliminate rolling an alt.

Seriously, the few of you championing this (all what, 4 of you? Did you all come together from FFXI?) please, please, PLEASE just let it die. It's never coming to Tera. We get it, you think it's a good idea because FFXI for you is the [filtered], but that doesn't mean it'll work here.

I'm confused at all of this ninja looting talk. I thought everybody knew that in this game you can set the loot option to where only the current classes can roll on gear that is meant only for them if it should drop. I really don't see any real problem with this idea, nor have I've yet seen any real arguments as to why it's a bad idea even after 11 pages other than that it's not really necessary and that EME and bluehole should work on real issues and whatnot first.
