Introduction
First off I would like to say that I absolutely love TERA. It is by far the best MMO I have ever played, and I will continue to play it for a long time. That being said, there are several things that I see that could use some improvements. Some are easy fixes, some would require a good bit of work, but I firmly believe that most if not all of these suggestions would add depth and build upon the game that I love so much.

Some people may respond that some of these things are just "stolen" from other games. But really, it just doesnt matter. Adding better functionality to a game doesnt take anything away from it, it just improves it.

Notice to Trolls
I created this thread as suggestions on how to improve TERA, all suggestions are based on my personal experience and not indicitive of everyone elses. That being said my opinions are my own, and should not be the source of discourse in this thread.

Please keep on topic: Keep replies as constructive as possible.

PVE
* New Dungeons every 3 months with unlockable Normal-Hard-Hell modes.
* Grant "Fastest Time" Rewards~Will add a niche to dungeon running for better rewards, prestige.
* Add-Performance Meter~DPS Meter/Damage Taken Indicator. Will allow high-end groups to see who is underperforming as opposed to the guess who [filtered] up this time current standard.
* For dungeon finder, remove ability for the party leader to change loot distribution options.
* Add the vote kick feature for everyone in a group in LFD. Enabling them to kick a bad tank etc. Must receive 3/5 votes.
* Enable a more intelligent loot system. Reward time spent for playing, didnt get a piece of loot? Here's some extra rep/gold etc. Increases replayability.

PVP
* Remove reflect damage
* Add Battlegrounds, Rated 5v5-10v10 Guild/Group Battles with ladders.
* Add PVP Armor Shops
* Give PVP "currency" for killing opponents in the following format: Battlegroun Kills .5(Per Kill) / WPVP 1(Per Kill) / GVG 1.25(Per Kill) / Rated 5v5 &10v10 .5(Per Kill)
* Promote WPVP by granting Titles, Achievements and better "currency" toward earning PVP armor by killing in open world.

Social
* Add time limit on Trade chat-similar to LFG
* Add a Global channel for people who enjoy talking. Disabled by default
* Fix the ability to remove Vanarch Messages, doesnt work under the current system
* Fix issues when being invited to a party/guild fails for unknown reasons

Political System
* Allow re-election for Vanarch if the current Vanarch leaves the server/is inactive for 2 weeks.
* Improve the voting window as it is currently very uniformative and leads to many players simply voting for the guild with the most praise.

Mounts & Minipets
* Add new unlockable obtainable by doing the following: PVE Dungeons, World Bosses, PVP, GVG, Reputation, and Achievements.
* Add new minipets following the same guidelines.

Guilds
* Add Guild Achievements for Rating in PVE, PVP
* Add Outposts for Vanarch guilds where they can "Guild Teleport" to meet up
* Allow Vanarchs a 6hr CD ~Summon Guild~
* Add ability to upgrade maximum guild members for a price
* Add posts in all towns/outposts displaying the Current Vanarch Guilds Crest
* Add unlockable features for larger guilds.
* Enable ability for players to send the guild a portion of the gold they pick up(not obtain from Broker/Bank/Trade) ---Money is sent to the guild bank, to support Vanarch funding etc
* Add Guild Calendar for Events
* Add "Guild Cloaks" To display your guilds emblem

Introduction Tutorial
* Mandatory for new players & Trial accounts
* Add "Training" for aiming of skills, dodging attacks. Explain dodge & aiming mechanics. Explain Glyphs, Crystals, Enchanting, Consumables, Stamina, Player Stats, Crafting & Gathering.

Races
* Equilize all swing distances
* Buff Racial skills for races with lackluster racial abilities.
* Added Customization for Horn/Tail etc combinations.

Class Balance
Archer
* Grant Escape Mechanic invulerability
* Adjust issues with Final Salvo cancelling Rad/Pen arrow if cast too quickly.

Berserker
* New Movement ability on long cooldown~allows you to retain current charge level while you run to your target

Slayer
* Fix heart thrust proximity~Will miss if your too close.

Mystic
* Buff Summons to give more versatility to the class, they are afterall a support healer.

Lancer
* Fix issues with Block not beginning when it should.

Armor Design
* Add Permanent Dye
* More Costumes for Rep Rewards/Achievements

UI Layout
* Add new default layouts:
* Add ability to change color for HP/Mana
* Redesign scaling: Enable Seperate Scaling for X & Y
* Add ability to Hide certain UI elements
* Add ability to scale down Quest Tracker
* Add option to display current FPS/Latency

Login
* Authenticator
* Ability to Save Login Name/Password
* Ability to Disable Login Scenematics

Crystals & Glyphs
* Configurable settings for multiple glyph/crystal combinations. Players should not be punished for doing more than one thing.
* Add reduced resist chance crystals/glyphs.

Game Settings
* Add an advanced settings feature

You can seperately scale UI elements, you can hide the clock and cooldowns(lol) and you can scale down quest tracker.

Everything else though I agree with, mostly, not going to nitpick anything I don't, too lazy.

What I'm referring to is the ability to scale things by length & height. You can currently do so, but they are attached. So if you're a UI maniac like I am, its rather frustrating. Same goes for the QT. Suggestion is to add on to the things you CAN hide to make for a more sleek and slim UI. Some things I just dont want to see.

Mostly good ideas. We'll see what EM delivers. I really hope EM has more power to do their own thing, as BH nearly killed kTera with slow content updates and cash shop focus.

Battlegrounds would be absolute priority #1 for me right now. Like 'delay the rest of the QoA patch if you can get the battlegrounds up a bit faster' now. Other than that:

-FIX THRALLS OR REPLACE THEM WITH SOMETHING ELSE. Seriously, they are awful. How did they make it past testers as is?
-Give them better scaling DPS or better glyph options so soloing past the 30s isn't a nightmare.
-Shift balance from healing to support/cc/DPS (DPS in between Warrior and Priest would make sense) so running Mystic in place of a DPS slot becomes an option. Seriously why is the support healer class competing for the same slot as the primary healer? They need more distinct roles.

I certainly agree that BGs should be a priority. And thanks for the mystic suggestions, will add to the OP when I get home from work.

A total racial rehaul. Currently, each race/class combination has different ranges. Elin Lancers (smallest race) has the furthest reach while Baraka Lancers (widest race) has the shortest reach. The difference isn't something that can be overlooked as Elins can reach about 75% further than a Baraka. Either:

Normalize the reach of all race/class combinations and general hitboxes. By this, I mean no Lancer (or any class) regardless of race has a range advantage or size advantage.

-or-

Reverse the roles. Give Baraka the longest reach (which is already compensated by the lack of forward momentum and massive size) and Elin the shortest reach (which has great forward momentum and a small girth).

Additionally, balance out the racial skills. Elins (and Popori) have no in-combat skills. Instead, they have +50% swimming speed, out-of-combat running speed, the ability to walk through aggressive mobs, and +10% plant gathering speed. In fact, most of the gathering/crafting benefits are unnoticeable. Each race should have the same amount of combat passives/actives as another race. Some skills have cooldowns of one hour, and others have cooldowns of two hours.

I honestly believe a racial rehaul should be priority one for balance. It's already a bad idea to base a class choice entirely off of racial abilities, but these abilities are not given at the character creation. I'm not just talking about the four you get in your skill menu, but the hidden hitbox and reach differences. While each race has its own PvE impact, it becomes highly unbalanced in PvP play. Picking a race should be entirely on the player's opinion of what he/she believes is the best looking race. I chose Baraka because of the sheer awesome appearance options they had available, but I shouldn't be penalized compared to the majority of other races for my choice.

Only Vanarchs would be able teleport their guild? Lame. Let Guild Leaders teleport their guild, and give the Vanarchs a 24hr CD ~Summon Zone~. Much amusement would be had.

So true for the mystic. I did post something about this today. Basically, groups love mystics for end game content because of double crit, added dmg, but half of their skills are pointless, specifically thralls.
When I use thrall of prot it looks like this: me avoiding mobs running in circle and thrall doing nothing chasing them. Lol
When using thrall of wrath: me looking at red circle on the floor and then nothing: my pc didnt have time to load the anime that the summon is already over. Lol
When using thrall of vemgeance, suck up my energy for 1k dmg every 10 sec then die 30 sec later. Lol

Thrall of life is cool its basically your main self heal so idm the short summon.

Basically I wish they would change the summons or the glyphs so that they are not so useless and allow you to use 2 at once.
Protection: generate aggro
Wrath: last longer and shorter CD
Vengeance: more dmg, last longer

Just.. do something plz!

All forms of CC now have diminishing returns.

Jumping at traps will still bring out the effects of the trap instead of knocking you down.
