Guys, rather than have us load a 4 GB build just to logon and reserve our name, server and class, would it be possible that you could hook up a webpage here that does the same thing?

We know we will need to download another 4GB next week when you rebuild so why not save us the hassle of downloading 2 different builds of the same code?

With your n-tier architecture I'm sure it couldn't be too hard to knock up a webpage that uses your middle tier API's to do the same thing that you do from the windows client.

I can wait a week to customise my toon, I'm guessing you'll have hooked up more customisation options by then anyway. We can simply use a webpage to choose a server, choose a name, a class, and do the rest next week..

Some people spend hours fine tuning their character.

Most of them don't want to be doing this on the first day when everyone in their guild will be trying to blow through early level content to avoid the mass of people camping everything.

You still pose a great idea (especially for those of us who have things to do this weekend), there are just other reasons why things are being done the way they are.

I spent a couple of hours on the last day of CBT5 and created characters that I wanted for launch. I have a page of settings written down, so character creation is going to take me all of 5 minutes :)
