Suggestion to fix the incredibly annoying monster de-agroing glitch

I assume this occurs because they think (or have) reached their limit of mobility on the map; I'm simply suggesting you remove that mobility limit on mobs that have lost 10% or more of their HP. Things that move long distance, especially BAMs like crabs, are very prone to de-agroing, and more times than I can count a mob has "wandered off" and reset when it was under 20% life remaining. Though I'm not sure if this would fix a monsters that constantly reset because they are stuck in a wall, those aren't as important as BAMs that take 10+ minutes to kill, anyway.

I do not agree. They have it the way they do to prevent various problems from arising.

Secondly I've NEVER had a mob reset on accident.

If you haven't had it happen, then you're not really qualified to talk about the issue.

There are several BAMs, mostly ovoliths, that tend to reset randomly and once it resets once, it ALWAYS resets itself. It's the most aggravating thing when your group just got it down to 5% and it decides to walk away on its own.

Please tweak the reset on BAMs (even 50% HP = no immediate reset would be great) or tweak it so that they won't reset if they're hit within 15 seconds of losing aggro of the last player.

Flonne clearly has not played MMO's long enough to have endured the days back when UO first came out, and we trained dragons into towns, or in EQ when we trained Ambassador D'vinn to zone, or, or, or...

And this is just ONE of the problems it fixes somewhat. Training is possible in this game, to an extent, but not to the extent we were able to way back then.

But oh god was it glorious wiping out an entire zone of noobs traversing into Crushbone for their very first time, only to zone in and get immediately assassinated by D'vinn. Griefing at its finest.

I'm not one to [filtered] up or mess around and it's happened to me three times since release.

This needs to be fixed.
Nothing else needs to be said.. Sorry.

Stop moving in a straight line and start circling the Bam. Be more aware of your surroundings.

Eh I've had ovoliths just start jumping backwards and reset themselves multiple times, many of which happened under 20%. It is an irritating problem and running in circles definately helps on some of them but others seem to go where they want no matter what you do.

Ive had it start backing up and first time i chased to make sure to keep it tagged, still reset. Second time did the same damn thing and i went back and waited for it still kept jumping back and reset. Third time i teleported past it to try and push it back and it just ran me over and whada know, it reset. Theres definately a problem when it comes to ovoliths and some of the other BAM's can be quite frustrating as well but nowhere near as common to have this problem.

Mmmm, LGUK... fun times.

I agree they need to increase the de-aggro distance.

Yes, because having enduring an issue without fix before makes enduring one now somehow OK. If something can be fixed, why not fix it instead of call someone entitled for wanting basic feedback?

It's a bigger issue than anything removing it would cause; I suppose people could drag BAMs into town or other, lower level regions, but they could always just make regional/town lines an "auto-reset".
