Wow. I think that quote may take the cake for the biggest load of hogwash I've ever seen posted by a rep of any game.


Knox is a nice guy, and he works hard to promote the game.
But honestly you can't expect him to have intimate knowledge of it.
Hell the average level 60 player in this game probably knows more about it's inner workings then Brian Knox.
The truly obsessive players, I am doubtless know more about TERA then he does.
He can only really comment on what he thinks he knows, I seriously doubt he ever sat and studied all the Elin armor before and after edit. and I really wouldn't expect him to.
He has a lot more pressing things to worry about then disputing the quality of bluehole's half assed western edits of one particular race.

Because there's no incentive for them to do so. What would they gain from giving away the things for free. Just look at the stuff in the premium shop they sell mounts for $25 you really think they'll give away free costume sets to everyone? lol I'm fine with paying for things I want which is more likely to happen then begging to get it for free.

I couldn't care less about the inevitable Elin censoring, but it annoys the hell out of me that we have to wait for the rest of them because of it. It does take a little bit of the fun out of it to know that summer will almost be over by the time we get these.

What would they gain from giving away the things for free.

A satisfied customer base that might be encouraged to continue their subscription? I don't see Rift suffering from its countless holiday and world events that offer a wide variety of cosmetic items all through in-game work.

You do realize how ridiculous "game developer has no motivation to develop content for their players" sounds, right?

You act as if every optional vanity item must be available in the store; that is unfair to people who enjoy customizing their characters and it is untrue.
