Hey guys, here are my system spec:

Processer - Intel i7 860 2.8 Ghz
RAM - 4 Gb Ram
OS - 64 bit Wind 7
GPU - GTX 580 Nvidia
HD used by Tera - 7200 RPM WD 500 GB

I can run BF3 on high setting with little to no FPS drops, but when I play Tera in certain boss fights I seem to get FPS stutters and drops. Compared to the recommended system requirements my specs seem to be way above it so why am I getting stutters? Can anyone tell me which one, if any of my specs is bottle necking my tera performance?

PS - I have the latest drivers installed for my GPU.

Other than possibly grabbing another 4 gigs of ram and possibly over clocking your cpu to something 3ghz and up theres not much I'd recommend. the game itself needed to be optimized for newer hardware considering it's running on a engine designed for stuff from about 5 years ago. New hardware doesn't typically optimize itself for older software since it's more concerned with present day software. Performance should improve though during open beta and beyond a little

Beyond that, for frame stutters and such, do you have things like c1e disabled? any form of temperature throttling ect in your mobo's bios that'd throttle your cpu? Tera is mostly a cpu intensive game. There;s the standard defrag advice and such but I'm sure you've gone through that already.

Thanks for the input I'll give that a go.

but of course you left out a huge important detail :D the screen! you need a great screen to play tera on, otherwise it is like a crime against nature lol
