Tera and Aion seem to be developed by the same space on earth, ASIA. With Aion going 100% completely free on April 11th in NA, how can I consider dropping 50$ plus monthly fee's on a game I only know about through youtube videos and closed beta.

I respect both games. Tera has its own thing going for it while Aion is a traditional MMO with an asian feel to it (and free).

I have room for one MMORPG and I am boggled at what to choose. 100% free April 11th orrrrrr TERA, AKA gambling, because I have no idea what I am getting into besides the a sneak peak at closed beta....


Anyone here play Aion and Tera and have some details?

TERA is the better choice. Aion is a more traditional MMORPG (similar to WoW in many ways) and takes a very long time to level with a lot of grinding. The combat can be somewhat fast, but it is nowhere near as interesting as TERA.

Personal opinions, having played both. Not sure what else you would want to know.

Don't play Aion. Enough said.

My best for you is... play both. TERA CBT (if u can) OBT then at 04.11 Aion will be free, just play and then u can decide what is better for you. I quit aion since is not my kind of game. factions are lame.

They're both great games depending on your preference of game play. Like Varacolaci said, play both. TERA's Open Beta is free so you'll have a chance to see if it's the type of game you could get into. Aion was hard to level in way back when but it's fairly easy now-a-days. My suggestion is give both a try and base what you play off of your experience and which you enjoy playing most, not other peoples opinions.

Honestly I only play WoW and Aion because there was no Tera. If you have experienced all 3 games, there is no reason to play WoW and Aion.

people are DELUSIONAL if they think a company as "outstanding" as NCSoft is going to give North America the whole package for free forever.

Outstanding emphasized on their North American market, watch as the game is left as is and the Aion division is downsized
