I work a desk job though the week during business hours and the nature of my job affords me a substantial amount of time to sit around and do whatever I want unsupervised. Usually I fill the time with playing guitar, 4chan, netflix, or playing older classic pc games. I would love to be able to play TERA to take up some of this time. I have a laptop that I bring with me to work, and I had that thought that if I run the game in windows mode at a low resolution, and very low graphics, I might be able to pull it off. What do you think?

Laptop =
t4300 2.1 duel core
4g ram
windows 7 64bit
no graphics card. i think it just runs off of onboard graphics or somthing (is there a way to check what this is?)

the computer ran WoW at about 30-40 FPS.

no, it will either not run at all. or you'll get 5-10 fps on that machine. it will not even be remotely playable.

i can tell you right now you are using intel integrated hd graphics, and that's absolutely terrible.

that laptop isn't suitable for gaming in any way.

Yes, on the lowest settings it will run, but you'll probably be somewhere in the 15 - 20 fps range in the big cities, you may be able to grab ~25 in a low pop channel in the outskirts.

The lowest graphics settings in this game are really not horrible, but you do lose A LOT of the details. If it's simply a matter of killing time and leveling, you should be fine. Just make sure you are keeping an eye on your temps, the CPU will be pretty taxed, especially since you have an integrated card.

thanks... I figured if I shrunk the window size down to about the size of a smart phone screen that would help too.

If you had said like an i5 (one of the sandy bridge ones, not one of the ones); I might have said go for it. You could even turn the sky on lol (did this on a friends laptop for the open beta lol).

...but, I highly doubt you will get anything playable on that and I'm pretty sure that even on the lowest settings you will lag miserably.

You can try it, but I highly doubt you will be able to play and even if it did get you like 20-30 frames per second you will be pushing your computer pretty hard.
