I love the arguments that censoring in a game is a "Freedom of Speech" violation. Ha ha that's funny. Tera is Enmasse's game they can say what is allowed there and what is not. Just like in a church or a restaurant the owners are allowed to ask people to stop their offensive behavior or leave.

One thing that I haven't seen anyone point out is that Enmasse does have a Rules of Conduct for Tera. http://tera.enmasse.com/rules-of-conduct

Number 7 speaks to all the sexual content that gets spewed through area chat: Do not post or use graphic sexual, grotesque, and violent language or images. There are enough websites out there for this. We don’t need another one.

However the first rule is the most important: TERA is a mature rated game. This means there are aspects of our design that make it that way. Mature does not mean you get to act like an [filtered]. In fact, by its definition that would be immature.

To be honest I will have Area chat on and I will report people who are disruptive to the community because they are so immature that they want to troll or use area chat for perverse conversations as it ruins the game for many people and if people are chased off from just the language that is being used then Tera can never be successful.

Oddly enough, i tend to have trouble noticing chat. While I'm out questing my eyes don't really "see" whatever is going through the chat window, including guild chat for that matter :P

Anyways, chat will probably clear up a lot after the free month is up, as with just about any mmo, Until then don't sweat it, they're just words.

Designed, yes. the casing is the only alienware custom tailored part on that system. They may have soundcards that are special dell-tailored lesser versions of retail equivalents, etc (DELL is notorious for doing this) but thats it.

The APUS in your iproducts are designed by ARM & SAMSUNG Manufactures them. everything in the system, is not made by alienware.

Just like Asus, apple, and hp, etc computers are generally made in the SAME chinese fab

The guy at Geek Squad told me they are unique, custom built hardware parts. I think he knows more than you.

Get this straight, it isn't gaming communities that are terrible, its our entire civilization. Can't speak for any other country, but in the USA, we've developed the attitude of not calling people out on their crap in real life because we are all to concerned with everyone's feelings and other such nonsense. When you take that and add internet anonymity, what do you expect? We've developed a nation of jerks/idiots/fatties, unchecked by the rest of society, allowed to be lazy, ignorant, D bags as much as they want. If you want these people to stop, on the internet at least, ignoring them is the key. When they don't get any attention for their antics, they will stop. In real life, call them out. Tell them to stop being an idiot/jerk/fat whatever it is, and don't let anyone's notion of being "offended" stop you.

If you want an example, the other day I was at the grocery store and saw this poor little girl, who must have been about 10, and I swear she was chubby enough to put on a fur suit and be a Popori for Holloween. All comparison jokes aside, it just about broke my heart to see it (big time problems with weight management growing up myself, finally resolving them now) and I wanted to holler at her dad and tell him he is ruining his daughter' life, but I knew what would happen. Everyone would just look at me like I was the one doing something wrong. Heaven forbid I call this father out on ruining his daughters life.

At bestbuy its commission based sales, they want you to buy the more expensive product, they get paid more.

The filtering in Tera works like this: obscenities are naturally allowed to go through, but certain phrases that could be useful for communicating observations about the game like "archers pull a lot of agro" are blocked to discourage constructive thought.

He's my friend he's 20 and he and I build computers together. No way I believe you more than him.
