TERA's OST lacking?

Has anyone else found TERA's soundtrack to be less than fantastic? While going with general soundscapes over zone music or themes is a different move, I really think that it takes away from the game. I'm usually a huge fan of MMO/Game music and especially love big band and orchestral pieces to give me that 'epic' feel, the way of the designers setting a tone without telling you, hinting that this is either a great or bad time, that I should feel either in awe or cautious, but TERA's forgettable soundscapes don't provoke any emotional response. I normally start to feel bored 15mins into quests and go turn on my own music to better fit the theme.

This is one of the only areas I really consider TERA to be lacking.

To compare watch this video WITHOUT sound:

Now watch it WITH, the music in WoW was one of the only things they actually got down. I forget about the terrible gameplay, the grindfest, awful community, horrendous balancing and later casualising, but I do remember the music.

I'd recommend anything by Jeremy Soule (Morrowwind, Skyrim, GW1&2) or Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy series)

Regardless of what you may think about those games, both of these composer's music is renowned...not just in the gaming community, but around the world.

I was shown Kaiator when discussing with another party, why is the rest of the game not like this?

No, think the music work, although the SFX tend to be much louder than the rest of the ambiance.

The music OUTSIDE of the game world itself is phenomenal, like each races' theme during character creation (Amani theme is the BEST) or that incredibly awesome tune that plays at the title screen/server select screen. And then you get into the game...and it's just kind of wimpy and sad =( why make such awesome music for the beginning menus and such and then drop the ball once you get out into the world?

Actually, I usually disable the music in other MMOs, because after going to the same zones over and over it just became monotonous. TERA's music seems less grating and intrusive.

I'm not saying music in other MMOs is bad (I have the Taverns of Azeroth album and Guild Wars soundtrack), I just feel it plays too often and wears itself out in a game genre where 10 hours of game time is a drop in the bucket.

Anyway, I excited for my CE soundtrack. Judging from what I hear in-game, I expect it to be quite good.

I usually turn the music down in an MMO or play my own. Starting with WoW, I never found the music to work much for me while I was playing except as a very low level background sound.
