I think I've seen the light about DPS Meters. They really are necessary! How are we going to know who to ostracize and who to believe is the best person in the game so they can brag about the size of their e-peen without accurate recording instruments?!
But then I got to thinking. Some of the things that the meter can be used for need more in-depth information. Mystic healing, for example. The mystic won't get credit for dropping balls that aren't picked up, and the combat log shows that the healing originates from the player, not the mystic taking time to drop his balls -- something I'm certain a lot of those who support dps meters can relate to!
So I've got the solution. We need a tachometer. A fully functional, car-like (because everyone can drive, right?!) tachometer that records dps, healing, movement (in meters!), and most importantly, Actions Per Minute! A person with high Actions Per Minute (APM) is clearly the one taking care of the mystic's balls, and he deserves recognition for his skills. DPS alone simply won't cut it. Without a proper, full-on tachometer, one will never be able to improve their rapid-clicking ball handling skills.
So join me in the call for Tachometers! Because if something can be a tool, for -anyone-, then it needs to have it's own dashboard!
