I completely agree with the OP. Why am I forced to actually bother to look for the people I want to kill? Why can't I just press M and have them all marked on my map?
Why can't I see another guild's roster? I have the right to make sure I'm declaring war on a smaller less active guild darn it!!!
On another note. Why do I have to find monsters to kill to finish quests? Why not just give me a max level character off one quest? I have better things to do then waste my time running around looking for the right mob to kill!!
I like this idea, but it does remind me a lot of Aion. Really cool if they could implement it though.
Id say it have to likely be more like it was in Lineage 2, the castle battles were pretty damn awsome, but tended to be a lot more prepared I guess you could say, its not like they just happened and one guild would just have to sit and take it, usually there was a lot of talk and announcements before the actual fight got on. they even had Directly different types of castles, where one castle provided your guild with the basic essentials, but another castle, something a little bit larger and more complex held much more diverse things inside of it, also allowing the guild access to a lot of different functions that the other castles didn't.

I've already been over this thousands of times. It wouldn't be specific. It could be something like
"20 people are in the areas surrounding Lumber Town." when you cast it. Something that general would still force you to scout, but you would have some sort of awareness that your on the right track.
GvG also isn't just for 300vs300. Its for 20v20 and 10v10. Its a lot harder to find a guild with 10 people in it than it is to find a guild with 300 people in it. you don't have the resources to scout as well as just the lower numbers. That is why a find person command would help.
In game that is channeled the options for players to be in other places and channels in the huge map of Tera is incredible. At level 60 it will be near impossible to find anyone and that is why they need to have a system that allows other guild people to find you if your in a guild war.
Seeing another guild roster mostly has to do with a find person command. It would be a simple way to make GvG more exciting. I really don't see any reason to go against it unless your afraid of being in more skill based guild wars and less luck based.
3. There should be a gold cost (if there's not already) and a set amount of time - the war should last \
With guild wars being more active if there was a find person command perhaps they could increase the guild cost a little bit because each guild war would be more action packed.

Or you can use your brain a little and scout out areas that are popular for grinding. Naw you can't go for that because then you wouldn't know if you were outnumbered or not. Your suggestion would give you exact size of the potential enemy allowing your to either avoid them if you're outnumbered or zerg them. You're demanding a special advantage because you're too lazy to do the scouting yourself and potentially too cowardly in game to risk being killed. So what you would propose would change open world pvp into a game of staring at information boxes. If the numbers are in your advantage you gank otherwise you just stay home. There's no fun in that concept and no element of surprise. You're unwittingly giving people a tool to avoid pvp supposedly in the name of increasing pvp. For example if I see a sudden increase in enemy guild members being reported in my area then I know to leave.

Yeah it's a lot harder to find a guild with 10 people in it which is why you want a tool so you can find the little guilds to get your grief on. Why else would you bother with declaring war on a small guild you cannot find? The purpose of the wars is to kill the guilds that are annoying you. Instead you want the war system to allow you to grief weaker guilds and you want a tool to make that easy. Your find person command would be the ultimate greifers tool and the fact that you refuse to acknowledge such a simple fact leads me to believe that you're well aware of that and intend to use the tool to grief.

You have no idea how many channels will be available at 60. I imagine there will be quite a lot fewer then were available during open beta. I find it ridiculous that you're so against having to put effort into finding your target. It's statements like this that lead me to believe you're only interested in having a tool for greifing then actual PVP. I see wars as a way to kill guilds that are being a nuisance where as you seem to see it as a way to pick on weaker guilds that are harder to find. I come from a couple games that have anywhere from a huge open world map(takes many hours to just run across the map) to an utterly staggeringly large galaxy map(about 6200 star systems). Both games are FFA pvp with mild restrictions and there's NO problems finding people to kill or to be killed by. Quit being lazy.

Exciting for you as you will know exactly how many people in your target guild are online at any point in time. You could easily insure that you are only picking on easy guilds. Your suggestions are the dreams of a griefer and anyone with a mild amoutn of experience in ffa PVP games would easily see that. If you want skill based guild wars then you wouldn't be demanding a tool that allows you to insure your targets are unable to defend themselves against you.

I utterly adored the castle sieges back in the day in Lineage 2. I had some amazing fights with hundreds of peoples and gigantic siege machines lumbering around. Unfortunately now that the game is on it's last legs sieges are incredibly boring events where people mostly afk dead on the battlefield in order to gather points.
