I had my gamepad plugged in like always and it came up with message read gamepad and already registered it ASAP. pretty neat of them in my oponion. To bad cant get past that server screen tho, i would like lto just mess with character creation.
What kind of Gamepad are you using? Like an Xbox controller? I'd like to test one out in beta to see how much better or worse it is than the keyboard and mouse. I really like how we're able to choose how we play :)

meh, i prefer mouse and keyboard. Good luck in PvP with a gamepad vs a mouse and keyboard. Mouse is way faster and precise.
I will be testing out the Xbox 360 PC controller on Friday to see how it plays. It feels like the game is set up in such a way that a Gamepad would be suitable to play with.

While true in most situations, speaking for someone who played on the MLG circuit for console shooters you can be just as accurate and fast with a gamepad with enough practice.

What? There is no way even with practice that you can achieve the same level of speed and precision with a gamepad.

I played a game called Shadowrun on the circuit. It had cross platform 360 vs PC. 360 competitive players were just as competitive as PC players.

This is funny because it's wrong.

I plugged in my xbox controller for a bit during the surprise 3 hour test and I must say I was impressed. I'm not good enough aiming with it (compared to a mouse) to use it with my priest, but you can still access a good amount of spells.

360 vs 360 players. Of course it's going to look just as competitive, there on the same playing field. The speed and precision of a analog stick will never be on par with the mouse. If you look at professional gameplay between PC and 360 there is a clear difference in speed of the play. Thats because with a mouse we have twitch gameplay while the controller is much slower.
