a DPS does barely the same as a healer, lol, you just said it in that statement......

you only take care of yourself as a DPS. As a healer in TERA i DPS AND heal so just because of that i do MUCH more than you as a DPS.

SO i state again, if i can keep tabs AS a HEALER that does what you do and MORE, then why as a DPS cant you keep tabs on everyone.

oh, yeah because you need a DPS meter to do that for you because you cant play your class without one.

so tired of seeing all these threads full of whining carebears trying to convince EME not to have BGs. they have been out in ktera for ages, and are coming here very soon. they are a way for real pvp players to compete, and get pvp gear. if you dont like this, go play on a pve server, cuz those of us who are here for competitive pvp are looking forward to this, and theres no amount of crying you can do thats going to change this

also, ktera has dps meters, and one is already being redone for NA version. the only reason i have heard that people dont like them is that they dont want to get called out for being a bad player. well too bad, if you are trash, expect to get kicked from the group.

so get over it and stop making threads about it

pve servers have nothing to do with pvp, u can still bg in pve servers, and people that choose to "click" or "enter" bg, probably wants to bg, u dont want to bg, u dont click the bg icon, simple as that

any as far as i know from ktera, dps meter dont matter, nexus u zerg with over 100 ppl which they were made for 30, and in hardmodes, its more of the mechanics you are dealing with, either u can do them or you cant, simple as that

again we want to kick people because they are doing less dps than others due to so many potential reasons most of them being unrelated to player skill. Even by the examples given the only way to accurately judge is by having same class at equal level with around the same weapon grade and enchant, otherwise there's going to be a very diverse DPS gap. Whatever happened to just playing with people who are friends/guildies you know don't suck.

The only legitimate reason someone could have to actually dislike DPS meters, is that they're scared that they'll get outperformed.

Hey, that's reasonable. It's a scary thought. But guys... you can get better. You have NOTHING to lose by adopting DPS meters. They tell you if you're doing something wrong. They're good.

They don't make the game easier. They don't coddle you. They're not like healing addons. They tell you if you suck, and some people don't like to be demonstrated as bad DPS.


The only reason people need them is they arent good enough to figure out how to dps on their own.

That's a great idea. Except that you don't actually have tangible proof that they don't suck.

I remember in SWTOR, pugging hard modes was damn near impossible on my server. I didn't like it, because almost ALWAYS we would grab DPS that didn't know how to play their class.

When we confronted them about it, you know what they said? "Nope. My DPS is solid. You don't have proofs."

And they were half-right. We didn't have proof. Not any that we could demonstrate anyways. We could not convince them that THEY were the reason we were hitting the enrage timer.

But then DPS meters came out, and it became very apparent. Many laughs were had, and those bad players became good. We convinced them that they were not doing things right, and the veteran players in the guild showed them how to properly play their class.

And you know what? They did get better. They got damn good. They never would have had that happen if they hadn't been SHOWN that they were not pulling their wait.

Of course, there were people that were more stubborn about it... and we just kicked those people.

This game has been tweaked down to "EASY MODE" and yet you guys still need a DPS meter, seems to me you guys who need the DPS meter are quite bad players.
