So, has anyone else really analyzed what BHS and EME are doing with these Chronoscrolls. It is genius, really. I only hope they weren't introduced too late.
Basically, if prices stay the way they are, this game will be totally free to play, without the horrible aspects of a free to play game. Why? Because it is the community that is paying for other's game time.
Also, while I know this is to fight gold spammers, with the inaugural pricing, EME is making, I would assume, five extra dollars per chronoscroll, as opposed to having us pay each month. This is a win win. I mean, I get to play for free, and each Chronoscroll I buy equates to 15$/month of play time (as opposed to my 6 month 10$ deal). If I keep buying scrolls, it amounts to a player paying the full price per month.
I guess this is just to say...Keep them prices low for my sake, haha(I am wondering how much they will fluctuate in the future). And know that BHS and EME, from a marketing standpoint, may have found a new way of making money for MMOs. I like that I can choose to use in game currency to play free, or keep my gold and pay monthly. I wouldn't be surprised if future sub-based MMOs use this same tactic.
