... should really stop trying to hard-sell their services. They could always let their work speak for itself, and it's likely a wiser policy than spamming the /say channel literally faster than any actual player could type. Now, that Ozlak fellow (or whatever his name is) who pats around the center of the city has a similar problem, always trying to shove his religion down your throat and never shutting up about Kaia, but at least he says his piece and moves on. These Trade Brokers, it's like they're trying to yell over one another, growing louder and louder, until eventually I lose track of guild chat and my RP just from being in their vicinity.

By far, they are the loudest NPCs in the game, and quickly replacing that Baraka priest from Akasha's hideout as most annoying. Somebody really needs to sit these two down and have a talk with them before they talk themselves out of business.

It's an issue that plagues most towns in the 50s, as well. It's a minor thing, but I can say that it certainly keeps me away from the bankers and brokers in Kaiator as soon as I am finished with them. It also makes me flee the towns with the insane npc spam as fast as possible. Yes, I can turn "say" off, but I prefer to have "say" open for messages from real players. A "creature say" filter would be very helpful for this.

I would obviously prefer for EME to focus on the account issue, so that we can all enjoy the game without unintended interruption, but this is one of my minor pet peeves in this game.

all npcs need their own chat channel, so you can disable their chatter from clogging up your chat window - you know, just like in wow. i think in aion this was possible, too.

removing their "chattiness" completely is imo the wrong thing to do as i personally kind of like random npcs rambling about random things all day, way better than cities and villages feeling totally dead and static.

It's a big problem for me and my RP. Not only am I leveling towards Kaiator, but my character has also begun to spend a lot of time there chatting with other characters in the /say channel. What am I supposed to do, go outside and stand in the cold just so I can have a decent RP scene over all the spam?

It's a lot more than a "minor thing" when you're a roleplayer, unfortunately. It makes holding a conversation in Kaiator darn near impossible.

There's no reason to get rid of NPC chatter entirely, but these guys need to have their speak cut down dramatically.

I feel you. I am a light roleplayer myself, and it narrows the number of towns that I like to stand in.
