Perhaps you misunderstood. Lancers are cool now. I love them, many other players also think they are cool. They are not the least played class.
Lancers RIGHT NOW are the most important class and are treated as gods because they are the only class that can queue as a tank. Letting warriors queue as tanks only takes away lancers' current god status, the class itself is, was, and will always be cool.
Letting warriors queue as tanks lets every other non-lancer suddenly have much shorter queue times. It also gives the correct image that warriors are tanks (which they are).
Running with a warrior tank may not be optimal in many cases, but it is a dirty rotten myth that it is really hard to tank with them or that the run will end in a Terable fail. I am a dumbarse mediocre player but still have had great success and fun tanking on a warrior.

if warriors are allowed to tank then give us lancers a dps stance like the warriors defense stance, that way we can compensate our future horrible waiting times in queue with solo questing with the same speed a warrior can kill the quest mobs.

Unless you are some sort of super-gifted player, you don't pump out much damage as a warrior tank. The priority is keeping agro, dodging, and trying to avoid moving the boss too much. Plus your glyph and crystal set-up for tanking doesn't give a lot of scope for high damage. You pretty much do the same thing as a lancer.
The question is do you want to play a full-plated beastly tank weilding a huge weapon and a bad arse shield, or a slightly inferior (tanking wise) dual weilding arcrobatic leather armoured tank. I don't see any problems, lancers are way cool but they shouldn't be the most important class in the game. And we all deserve to be able to put a group together much more quickly than at present, whether through the LFD or just in chat.
that could be possible with making the Lancer more interesting to the folks so more people would play a lancer.
i dont say make the lancer the most important class in the game but taking away the lil bit a lancer has isnt the right way.
the first thing i got in mind after reading warriors will be able to queue as tank is all the warriors abusing the tank option just to shorten their waiting time and then horrible fail with the team. that means us lancers will be stuck in queue like forever cause of the warriors flooding the lfd tool as tanks since there are tons of them.
a solution for this would be an option for players to chose what kind of tank they want... so players who trust in warriors can have their warriors and people who like to be safe with a lancer can have their lancers. thats all i would like to ask for then.
