How does "fluff" effect you negatively? If you don't want it or participate in it, you don't have to. You see how that works?

And four mounts =! mount collecting

It sets up an expectation of you getting whatever you whine for loud enough.

Oh, and ... this game is two weeks old in NA, one year in Korea. It takes TIME to develop content when we don't even have a single expansion yet, and you already want content in the game that is established after YEARS in other games.

Should there be extracurricular stuff? Yes! And there is....

But you want extracurricular that derives largely from the expectation that WoW did a thing that was good, and that's set up these vanity elements of the game that involve almost no real outworld or in-dungeon excursions. I'd rather have more out-world stuff, both to promote players actually engaging in content and PvP, things that force players to group up such as high-reward, high-power world bosses, and so on. Things that make this a GAME that works instead of just you and your console. That's what pet collecting and mount collecting is like in WoW, that's what "minigames" are like in FFXI and WoW, and that's what they're going to be like in GW2.

The problem with WoW in this regard is that it turned into something you could solitaire. The problem with FFXI in this regard is that it turned into 4-5 hours or 3 days sitting in town waiting for a party to show up.

I want a game that involves you with others, but doesn't FORCE it. TERA is working to make content both soloable and also low-mannable so as to promote players grouping together, but not force it, while at the same time permitting things like BAM farming for the fun it is (and I think it is) while also achieve-farming (which I do, and do with others).

Beyond the several correct points Qilong makes, content development of the variety you're requesting at this stage of the release would be a huge misappropriation of resources. The niche player base that enjoys collecting things and events like you're describing, while arguably more populous than the average minority, is still a minority. There is plenty of content that can be and should be designed that will affect a much greater portion of the game population.

This isn't "whining". This is simply wanting more non-PvE/PvP aspects to this game. Will I keep playing if they don't add pets or more mounts or any of the other things I listed? Yes, because I enjoy this game for what it does have, but that does not mean that having any of what I listed would be a negative thing in anyway. If anything, it opens the genre to gamers who aren't concerned about end game.

Ragnarok private server vanity pets are the ultimate vanity pets.

Fluff I want

-Vanity pets with their own special equipment, that talk.
-Marriage system
-Player housing
-Mannequins on which to display old sets of armor.
-Fun, quick, unscheduled GM-hosted games. Like find the GM hiding in the world, win a destiny egg or whatever.

This game is lacking Korean fluffy charms. More Tuwangi, less srs bznass, please!

Yes please, pets that can talk and have equipment with loyalty. You have no idea how funny it is when you're a thief in RO with a poring pet. When you get PKed, or killed by a monster, the poring yells, "THIEF DOWN! THIEF DOWN!" then he says something like save him!. lolol

brings lots of character to the pet.

I don't want WoW fluff in this game. You already have a variety of mounts.

There's more mounts, they aren't in yet.

You've got beige and black panthers, like 5 others horses on top of the four we already have and a beige lion with dreads.

But that's the problem, isn't it? You want aspects of this game that don't require you to even leave the Cities! That's "no PvPvE" right there! If you want reputation rewards, you have to go out and earn them. I got my damned Winterspring Frostsaber when the giants for the third repeatable at the end could KILL me if I wasn't careful. I farmed the gold through dungeons and quests to EARN my swift flying mount, and then my 2k unarmored flying mount in Dalaran. This is all PvE stuff.

What do you want to do, farm the economy as in EVE? You can do that already! (You just need capital.)

3) More variety to changing appearance. Let us cut and color our hair. Give us more freedom when it comes to changing how our gear and weapons look like.

A side note for Elin: Let us choose hair and ears/tail separately. Just because I want long hair, I shouldn't have to be a fox :-/

I totally agree with the OP, especially on this^

This game is so damn gorgeous it totally caters to the character dressup crowd and vanity/fluff crowds in general. Its meant to attract people attracted to just beatiful things. Adding more fluff would be an improvement to this game, especially adding more ways to customize our characters:

- Add ways to alter our appearance (face, hairstyle, color, etc.) after character creation
- Add more armor/clothing models
- Add permanent dye options
- Allow us to pick hairstyles and things like horns or animal ears as separate elements.
- Etc.

All of these would be great additions that would enhance what the aesthetic elements that already stand out in this game so much.

Are you kidding me?

Farming pets = Leaving the city

Farming mounts = Leaving the city

Farming gear for templates = Leaving the city

Mini games = Make people go to locations to play them

What the hell does wanting pets, mounts and more ways to customize your character have anything to do with NOT leaving the city?

KTERA already has a couple more mounts
Undead Horse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7F9iABMTRM
War Horse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK1JGMeIDKg
Nightmare Mount: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QcThWQ39G8
Panther: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jji_JYUXEBQ
There is also one that looks like a cougar and another that looks like a zebra. Couldn't get videos of those, sorry.

KTERA also has a bunch of head gears that we'll hopefully be getting as well. EU is already ahead of us in the head gear department :P so if EU has it we'll have it too.

Pretty sure that we'll have those eventually :)

Wait, you want to FARM things to get stuff? You mean ... PvE? You said you DON'T want to go out there and go after BAMs or dungeons. What do you want, to pick on level 1 piglings for months and months until you get your 10,000,000 piglings killed achieve (disclosure: not in the game) so you can get a little pigling that follows you around, WoW style?

In case you didn't realize it, there are mounts that require reputation to acquire, including the Nexus black steed (you don't even need to hit another player).

There are no "pets" in the game, certainly nothing like WoW, and frankly I'm not sure having them would be a good idea (although, realistically, they do nothing bad for the game, but they do clutter up the mobs on screen and they also tend to be nuisances if they ever involve collision in the overworld -- and that WOULD be bad). The original "pets" in the game were mobs you set up to buy or sell for you, and DAMN were they annoying!

You can already get costuming in the game, it just takes some work. I ran to a place where everything was RED to me when I got to Allemantheia (flew to Sylvanoth) and got my halo. Still had to kill stuff to survive ... that or run.

I can see stuff to do other than farming mobs or dungeons or players, but that's already in the game in the form of crafting. But ... you don't want that.

@Qilong, you seriously have a colossal lack of reading comprehension.

By "non-PvE", I mean end game instances/nexus/raiding, and "non-PvP" is self explanatory.

Some people would prefer killing a thousand piglings to get a pig pet instead of doing a dungeon or raid.

I know....

Which is why people are asking for them....
