@Qilong, you seriously have a colossal lack of reading comprehension.

By "non-PvE", I mean end game instances/nexus/raiding, and "non-PvP" is self explanatory.

Some people would prefer killing a thousand piglings to get a pig pet instead of doing a dungeon or raid.

I have perfect reading comprehension, in this case. You did not qualify "PvE" to mean ONLY instancing. There is a vast array of non instancing that is done out there that I mentioned in my very first post in this thread, especially in regard to BAMs. I am wondering if you just did not want to listen to this point, or did not want to try to solo some BAMs for extra-curricular activity?

Note that I am a player that enjoys extra-curricular activities, especially holiday events, exploring, mountain climbing ("goating," as I've been told), crafting, hunting rare spawns, and farming lower-level dungeons for achievements and gear for alts, as well as crystals for same.

People against "fluff" and adding fishing and pet/mount collecting?

You guys must be trippin'.

There is NOTHING to do in this game other than fight monsters and collect yellows. This is an MMO, a vast digital world. A pretty one at that. The developers need to fill it up. It's pretty bare at the moment. At least as far as side-content and "mini-games" go.

I knew a lot of people in WoW who would continue to subscribe and throw their money at Blizzard just to collect some little pet or special mount.

Same deal here. I'm sure EME/BH would like the extra money.

Keep rolling out the nice big content patches but try to get the "fluff" going on the side devs! More things to do in an MMO is never bad. Tera can do better.

I totally agree with the OP, especially on this^

This game is so damn gorgeous it totally caters to the character dressup crowd and vanity/fluff crowds in general. Its meant to attract people attracted to just beatiful things. Adding more fluff would be an improvement to this game, especially adding more ways to customize our characters:

- Add ways to alter our appearance (face, hairstyle, color, etc.) after character creation
- Add more armor/clothing models
- Add permanent dye options
- Allow us to pick hairstyles and things like horns or animal ears as separate elements.
- Etc.

All of these would be great additions that would enhance what the aesthetic elements that already stand out in this game so much.

Something I like to believe in for gaming,

Gear comes and goes, mounts and pets are forever :)

Now don't get me wrong I do enjoy getting upgrades on gear, but this helps remind me when I lose a roll or just doesnt drop that there will be other times.

I love this post! Bump just so EME has more chance to read and take notice. Hell F2P MMOs usually make ALL their money on fluff. More is better but my favorites just for the record are: player housing, mounts, more dyes and a barber.

The one thing I'd like to add, is FIX CRAFTING SOME!..I know its been beaten to death, but if they fix crafting some, it'd be more stuff to do!

Also, as with other MMO's, we need small ways to make things like.. Bandages, small stam boost items, ext.(Cooked food!? LE GASP!)

I would love a artifact system like thing, like rift, or some vanity pets. They have the pets in .dats, due to koreans using them for selling. Why not convert them? It shouldn't be especially hard!(Well, I think.)

Yeah, totally agree with OP.

We really need something to consume our time, dailies are trivial. All there is ATM is gear / instances and dailies.

I am SURE(re:praying) they plan to add a lot of stuff like this. I just wish they would announce a road map of when then intend to start the content overflow. If they don't at least tell people they have plans, I just worry some may get bored and /ragequit.

The problem with getting NEW things in the game right now is that they're still mostly FIXING BUGS, the game is too new to get alot of new content I mean even Aion took a few years to get housing and it's still new in game, pets took awhile for them as well. We might be waiting awhile guys...too bad there wasn't many side features to the game when it came out I think it would have been more enjoyable to do when you want a break from questing. At this point, only our commitment to the game will get us the fluff.

I'm not against variety, but original poster sounds like they want to turn the game into Barbie, dress up play land.

Kind of mirrors what you see in real life. Women want vanity over substance. Seems like core game play and endgame is much more important at this point. You know....the real substance of the game.
