I bought a bunch of whites and threw money at it.

9 tries to success.

What a wonderful skill based system.

Lucky.

One thing I missed from ffxi was the rumors that there was a way to influence the rng on crafting, like positioning yourself a certain way during certain days or moon phases. It proved just plausible enough to be possible.

It all started with a map that joined the stars and was researched to death by players after that.

Something along these lines, something that can ultimately never really be figured out, but which does help with success, would be fun.

Because upgrading / enchanting in games is skill based?

All I have to do to open my bag is press b, there should be a mini-game to do it if this is really a "skill based game"

why do people use that same tired dumb argument?

"skill based combat" not "skill based enchanting."

the game sells itself on "skill based combat," not skill in crafting, enchanting, farming, etc.

So the priest in my pre-made just got nightgown drop a few minutes ago.

+6 to +9 took 9 tries, one blue and the rest gold, right after getting it.

What a wonderful skill based system.

I'm green with envy. Takes me an average of 9 tries just to get from +5 to +7.
