"With just days left before TERA's launch, the biggest question for fans will be whether or not the game is ready. I can definitively say that TERA is ready to launch in the Western market. It isn't perfect—no MMO is—but it's ready for the community to shape it. MMOs take years and years to develop, but very few really establish their identity until the community takes hold of the game. The game you will see on May 1 was shaped with community feedback, through focus group tests and betas, but the true future of TERA will be determined once the game goes live. Our goal was to get fans playing TERA for real as soon as possible, which was key to our decision not to wipe characters after open beta. This was our first live experience with how TERA will be played in the Western market.

With lasting communities and lasting characters now formed, the path for TERA is set. We have time for tweaks and updates before launch, but the train has left the station, and it is time for us to listen and observe so we can continuously deliver top-notch, compelling new content. The biggest question isn't whether the game is ready. It is instead are we, the developers, ready to meet the needs of the community? To that, I say don't judge us on our size and our budgets, but instead judge us on our skill and ability to react to your needs as a player."

I saw Tera's potential to be a great game, and I know Enmasse will make it even better for us in the long run.

You wanted TERA because of good PR? its so easy to pick at the zombie's brain. EVERY game developer and every company will say a lot of BS like this to sell their game. EVERY MMO that releases you get people like you making topics like this saying the same exact thing in a different context. TERA is great, I agree, but I play it because I enjoy it not because I was made promises by a publisher no less.

No man, they did and have been doing exactly what they said they'd do. That's not PR, that's called giving a damn about your product.

I can't think of one issue they haven't addressed and fixed or are working to fix. There's a big difference bewtween the relationship of a developing company and its customers vs. a company like blizzard or NcSoft and it's customers. Their ears aren't so close to the ground to hear what your complaining about and thier bank accounts are too high for them to care if you're complaining at all. I'm also not just "some person like me" that you seem to think that just looks at at a developer and starts riding in their boat. I'm a business developer it's how I make my living. Watching companies, studying markets, understanding product life cycles, company/market growth opportunities, it's all part of the game. How a company handles its product and its consumers can be the difference between sinking or swimming.

I think some people get lost in QQing on forums an don't realize the complaints they are making have already been addressed and are being fixed or have been fixed. Compaired to the response time of other developers and releases, they don't have their nose to the ground like that, and they are not so quick to address problems. Enmasse has pretty much been working things things out right then and there.

If you can't respect that you should stick to console games and EA.

No they are good, they're quite transparent about what is going on with their product and their team. Most companies try to do the silent techniques, acting as if there is something more happening behind the scenes. NCsoft did this a lot with Aion keeping as much as they could hidden. This is a game not a damn government bill being passed. Instead En Masse are very open and explain their processes clearly. They don't insult our intelligence like the other companies, and I feel like I am working with a friend as opposed to some "host."

This situation with the expirations has ticked me off, and yes I have considered other paths. In the end though they're a good company in regards to customer relations. People are judging them based on this one incident, and I get that I am not pleased either, but in the Beta's and Headstart they were great and cared immensily. They care now, and that is the only reason why I remain. If this was NCsoft screwing up I would have been gone instantly, same as Blizzard because I don't feel respected by them.
