So, first off, this is not a post to cause any flame wars or anything, I just simply want to try and understand something here.
So me (Sorc) and a mystic are fighting a BAM, it is lower level then us by a little and we are doing fine on it. We duo BAMs all the time, we know how to work together and if we can't duo it, we get a group. Simple. Anyway, we are killing this BAM and I go to use my rotation of root, sleep and fireblast when along comes someone, outside of the group that decides to attack the BAM and break the sleep on it and get me knocked over in the middle of my fireblast. Mystic gets a bit pissed, guy says he was only trying to help.
Fine, I get the fact that there are some helpful people out there and that is wonderful, I like to help out people myself, but how does someone get the idea in their head that someone needs help on a BAM fight? You can't see their health so obviously you can't say "omg! that person is dieing, I better help!"
Honestly there are many people out there that will attack your mobs outside group to be pricks and so when you do something like that, with the intent to "help" the only thing it looks like, at least to me, is you being a prick. Especially when something is clearly sleeping and you break it.
Like I said it is a great thing to want to be helpful, but I'm wondering, to those of you that have ever done this, where is the logic in it? Why do you do this? I am really trying to understand. Can't you just type in chat and ask if people need help first? Cause I'm sure if they do, they will invite you.
I just see so many people do this and sometimes they do it to be mean and other times they say they are trying to help when it wasn't even needed. I've lost credit for quests cause people just wanted to "help".
I just had to post this, maybe someone can shed some light for me or then again, maybe not :)
