And so it begins.

And trolls.. this isnt a QQ thread. Im stating the facts as I saw them from day 1 and what was going to happen. The game has potential, but it was unfinished and rushed.

People are already bored with the game. There is no end game. I have never in the history of MMOs hit lvl cap in 3 weeks. Never. The casual kids have ruined the MMO genre by wanting everything handed to them. Listen to them cry. You dont know what crying is until youve corpse run SolB in EQ.

I played EQ1 for 3 years. Played DAOC for 3 years. Played WoW for 4 years. And to hit lvl cap was waaaay more than 3 weeks, it was months and more than a year. Not only that, but those games kept my attention way past once I capped.

Emain Macha was awesome. Fort Sieges... running around with a bard in group tracking people to kill. Raiding the planes... raiding Naxx. Hell, even EQ1 had RAIDS. The game model had things to do and keep you entertained and coming back for more OUT OF THE BOX.

What do we have here? Gank lowbies on a bridge in Lumbertown? Crafting is not possible atm.. we have no raids, we dont even have an incentive to pvp. No pvp rewards what so ever.

So why are you staying? Give them a chance to bring these things out and in game for you? That my friend is what should have been done from day 1. If it were my game and my company Id for damn sure make sure it takes you longer to level than 3 weeks. I want to keep you as a paying customer for as long as possible.

I had high hopes for TERA. I absolutely loved the game. But it was too easy to level. It was too easy to get loot. I have a bank full of materials I cant use to make things. Why would I log in just to hunt and kill people if there are no incentives? Bragging rights? Hell I can do that on Steam on Team Fortress or COD or MW and do it for free.

But as it is now, its sad but I feel not wanting to log in. I would definitely put my sub on hold... and I would definitely come back when crafting is fixed... pvp is fixed and raids are in. However in its current state it doesnt hold my interest.

No one is listening now either, the percentage of players that visit the forums are nothing compared to people who play the game and never go here that are perfectly happy with the game.

1. Raids. You seem to think that a particular model nof dungeon grouping is the only way to do hard content? Go try pugging Kelsaik: He drinks your tears. (People still can't pug Yoff-Saron, and barely do the Lich King, regardless of gear.) Thsi game has several functional elements that regard like raids, especially hardmodes and the not-in-yet Nexus.

2. Leveling. This game has been out in NA for TWO weeks. What, did you think games are full and complete and have no development over time? EQ didn't have raids in the beginning, and WoW on release had Scarlet Monastery! EQ also involved DELEVELING, a feature that has thankfully fallen to the wayside, and players do not enjoy the dissatisfaction of losing progress they spend a lot of time and effort on because someone else slips up or kites a train of Giants over your face. Similarly, it was possible in EQ to powerlevel to nearly max level by using the handy dandy services of a Druid.

In WoW, currently, it can take you three days or less to level, by questing, to 85. This was the point, when players were challenged by Blizzard to do so when Cataclysm was released. First leveled Worgen/Goblin took 18 hours. Some players were offering level SHIFTS for compensation. Imagine how hard THAT is to just spend a couple hundred and have other people do it for you? I've been playing for two weeks and I'm still not 60 yet, because I've been off helping others level up their characters, or leveling others of mine. So, bjust because you can doesn't mean you should, and just because others did doesn't mean they shouldn't, and that it bears against them.

3. Crafting. This is not meant to be for the everyman, it is meant for the entitled few (and no, I am not one of those few, I intend to grind my crafting up the HARD way).

4. If you don't want to play the game, don't. You are the troll, then, for trying to be inciteful, and not insightful.

Game levels too fast, BORING NO END GAME CONTENT BUT ALL THESE DUNGEONS, GEARS, PVPS AND POLITICAL SYSTEMS.

Game levels too slow, OH MY GOD THE GRIND I CAN'T FINISH EW KOREAN GARBAGE.

Yes, World of Warcraft took quite a bit of time to hit 60 the first time through.

Then the expansions came out and people hit the new level caps in a few short hours.

TERA isn't the only thing suffering from this problem and if anything the PVP should keep you around for months before the first major content update.

I bet herruher has beaten Balders Temple hardmode and even Kelsaik nest hardmode and made it all the way to tier 13 +12 gear right.

You know, if you want raids so badly the exact same mechanics are set up in perfect 5 man fashion, in a way that's much easier to organize.

So, since I know there's a fraction of a chance you've beaten those dungeons I ask, why are you complaining there's nothing left when you have not "beat" the game?

It's raids in dungeon fashion is all, hit level cap, gear up on hardmode 58s for normal mode 60, gear up on normal mode 60 for hardmodes then gear up on hardmode 60s for hardmode Kelsaik and then you win. Just like beating progressively harder raids/hardmodes.

Also try doing something at level 60 maybe? Help guildies, get them to PvP a little, hunt world bosses, make money.

Jagged Coast just had a 3v3 tournament hosted by thirsty for 10,000 gold prize. Be like them, do fun stuff.

I'm at cap and see no problem. I'm enjoying the game at the moment; the pvp in particular.

Just because YOU are bored doesn't mean that everyone else is. Just because YOU rushed everything and not helping friends, guildies, etc level up doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't take the time to (heck I even help out random people from time to time).

While there are some tweaks and content I would like to see, I am perfectly content with the current game for at least the next month or two.

Can anyone do in TERA what Athene did in WoW?

Raiding in TERA seems ... untenable given how the combat system works, and how one tends to array themselves against bosses and BAMs. Imagine, if you will, six or eight people all trying to crowd around the butt of a Kumas, jokeying for position to get into that sweet spot of being "behind" the boss so that their Acrimonious Crystal are effective. Adding an extra healer simply permits the mobs to hit harder, but this can more clearly risk death by one-shot if the Lancer has to let a hit through so he can 1) gain threat, 2) stun, or 3) interrupt. Making mobs require more healers is to make the mobs less possible to kill, regardless of numbers, because even if you manage a system where two tanks are pulling aggro off one another successfully, to justify more tanks, is to create problems where none are necessary. Increasing the size of the mobs doesn't help.

What does help:

Making "raid" encounters requiring more players because the group must split up, but still permits the 5-per-mob style currently employed.

Making encounters utilize multiple healers by having to juggle back and forth split parties (although this is already in the game, especially the Basilisks in Ascent of Saravash).

Making encounters variations of the extended duration of Temple of Temerity: Players must use a special potion to cancel the silence effect to fight a mob, but these have such long cooldowns and you only get one that groups must take turns. Instead, you can design encounters that favor rotations of groups of 5 to defeat a hallway of mobs with skill-locks and silence effects in place.

But Raids in the WoW sense will not work, not when it is ONE mob one must fight. Recall that to make this challenging, and because of the number of players used, each of these bosses employed cleaves or debuffs that forces offtanking (Marrowgar required three tanks to soak up the cleave!), massive overall constant and unavoidable damage for multiple healers, and a boss's hitbox so large as to allow six or more players to be "behind" it (while noting that players had no collision in WoW).

These designs simply do not work with the maneuverability required in this game. Ever wonder why Lancers complain why other melee are next to them in front of the boss? Or how your Warriors and Slayers and Zerks interfere with one another? Or how casters have to find openings not obscured by some dumb brute's axe or sword to get an ability through? Increase the number on a single mob, and you increase the problems, without finding solutions.
