These are the highlights of the patch we are pushing for the end of this week. We will publish the patch notes on Thursday, but in the meantime we wanted to share more information with you.

Starting this patch, warriors will be able to queue as a tank or a damage dealer when using the Instance Matching System. The players will be able to choose the play style they prefer and this is a way to have more tanks in the game without waiting for the longer term solution with new skills. There will also be a temporary measure to help out the team with warrior tanks since the new skills aren’t implemented yet.

And while aiming to win the popular vote to become a vanarch is still a noble goal, Guild vs. Guild will be another way to rise to the seat of power and fame. Other features include an option to view FPS, a way for the guildmaster to delegate the Guild vs. Guild authorities, preventing /em from spamming the chat window, which are direct results of community feedback.

As we are working on more tweaks on the crafting system, all crafting attempts will increase the skill give increased skill ups. We were also incredibly excited to see the community activities such as political debates and PvP matches, so we’re adding landmarks to facilitate these activities better (see Gathering points for the community).

For the next patch (sometime in July), the items we are working on include: having more game stats in UI, a few vanarch-related items, chat channel tweak, and more ways to make the crystals more available (continuing our efforts in the previous patch with the Raiders of the Lost Eggs event and other instance reward tweak). There will be more information as they become more solid.

Thursday’s patch notes will provide more details on the next build and please note that these are subject to change, as for all MMO’s. :)

What exactly is meant by all crafting attempts will increase the skill? was it possible to not skill up on an eligible craft past 300+ or are you just making all crafts raise the level regardless of skill level? Because right now I've never failed to get a skill up but I was waiting on something like this to level it further.

Uh you could fail in the first place?...I've never failed before?...the entire problem is the amount of ridiculous mats to skill up and not being able to farm them because they are like lvl 40ish runes. /facepalm

Unless you are making it so that we can fail now? lol? >.>

Yeah, I'm also going to say that we need more info about leveling crafting. Even if every single attempt is a success and gives skill, it's still a MASSIVE gold and time sink that's only really bad because EME ripped out the crafting quests without considering what kind of long-term ramifications a change like that could have. If the only change is that "failed attempts still give a skillup", which as far as I can tell crafts can't actually fail, all I can say is that this is [filtered] stupid, and EME really needs to get their [filtered] together if they want any chance to succeed.

You could fail at crafting attempts? Has anyone actually failed at a crafting attempt? I have leveled all crafts to 250, with the exception of alchemy which is at 300 and never failed an attempt. I also have never failed any patterns that I have made when trying to find a template I liked... Are we going to start failing now? If so you just destroyed crafting. People aren't going to invest in 40k plus materials for a 410 weapon to have it fail. When you said you had something in the works I was trying to think of possible ways you could tweak this. This isn't something that came to my mind because it currently isn't a problem. Do you actually play the game?

There will be no magic bullet that will solve everything at once and these are some of the items we are working on. We are communicating what we are working on to improve TERA because we all want TERA to become the best game it can be and we also want to let people know some of the things they can look forward to. :)

I think they mean that literally however it's probably going to be like craft 50 things for 1 lvl up so people don't just buy their way through crafting ? All I know is I'm excited because the way crafting is now it's almost impossible for 1 person to do without a guild feeding u mats and putting a lot of money into it. Also before you guys hate on everything just wait until they can clarify things. Don't be mad just to be mad. I'm sure they're trying hard to make this game better for everyone.
