Update:

We are taking these steps to resolve a GvG kill trading exploit a few guilds chose to abuse for the vanarch position. This exploit is achieved using a guild of alts, this behavior is not something we condone.

During the regular maintenance hours tomorrow morning. the GvG score of the few guilds that have abused the system will be reset to 0. We will also be reducing the maximum points that can be earned from an opposing guild per day from 600 to 100 to help with the issue.

As mentioned below, we will continue to monitor the political system and make improvements as needed.

To add further clarify, we are going to continue to iterate on the GvG system and plug holes where needed. I have seen many good ideas of how to 'fix it' but none are bullet proof. In the meantime we are going to take action and reset points to 0 if you are kill trading with alts.

Thanks for the information. I'm sure PvP servers really appreciate something being done about the problem.

I also hope you are looking at the PvE servers and making changes there. Serpentis Isle will have two GvG provinces with no vanarch because not enough guilds signed up. The guilds that did enter don't even have to fight each other. They will automatically win their preferred province. This system does not have enough interest on PvE.

Also, please let people see who has signed up during the registration process so guilds can spread out more efficiently. It's vexing to see 5 guilds running in one area, and only 3 in another, and know that we'll end up with one guild who would have liked a seat getting none, while a province in another area goes without one for the reign.

Just require guilds that want to GvG for Vanarchy to have at least 30 wins vs 15 different guilds in GvGs in the past.

require 40+ member guild and to never fall below 40 members.

The kil ltrading with alts though would just have to be the system looking at it. Obviously if 2 guilds are maxing 600 pts vs eachother every day and no one else they are cheating - just need higher ups to monitor.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. For PvE servers - change it to 1 province available via GvG per continent. Not 2. Or perhaps two provinces available but only in northern shara. Please not the nexus provinces either. Perhaps PvPers enjoy it during nexus hours, but us PvE players do not. There seems to be very little interest in vanarch GvG. Having less provinces available via GvG on PvE servers will probably help with the empty provinces and guilds getting freebies.

How are you going to stop the farming? So they remove the ability to farm alt guilds; then they just pay another guild to run so they can farm them, hoping they make their money back through taxes. Any kind of point system will be abused in one shape or form.

The problem is that guilds don't lose anything. Without consequences there can't be any true rewards.

So i trying to understand... if i have 2 chars and play whit both il need play only whit one to win a gvg vanarch?
