PvE only means the PvP needs to be consented on both ends. Thats about it.
I'm quite happy with the integration of GvG in Vanarchy on PvE servers.
Let's face it: Elections suck. They're boring and practically useless, as it's always a popularity contest.
I agree with the original poster, that this was a bad idea. I'm not one for complaining but when my guild had planned to run for Vanarch this term we were very surprised that the zone we had settled on was one labeled for GvG. At first we thought this might be a nice challenge then our Guild Leader found out that only level 40+ kills will count as points in the GvG Vanarch battle.
Honestly, to implement a GvG Vanarch zone but only count level 40+ kills towards the total points, is really defeating the purpose. Especially if the entire guild is forced to participate in the GvG battles. For a guild like ours who's main focus is RP, half our guild is under level 40. So those members that are too low to kill an actual level 40 are forced into PvPing on a PvE server, that will award 0 points to their guild's effort toward Vanarch.
If they want to have GvG zones for Vanarch and leave it as it is with only level 40+ kills counting then they should restrict it to the level 40+ zones. Other wise the 40+ needs to be changed so that everyone can obtain points for their kills. If it's an issue of the higher level farming the lower levels add in a 0 points policy for killing someone who's X amount of levels below your current one.
