1) Mystics are healers. They are the preferred healers in kTera for endgame PvE. Mystics bring more than enough to the table to make them highly, highly desirable. I've heard that priests in kTera actually feel incredibly neglected compared to mystics.
2) Warriors are becoming better and better tanks. They are constantly getting buffed and reworked. Furthermore, a lot of people think the new class is going to be some kind of tank. So that is hopefully going to be changing.
The class variety is quite nice. All the classes feel very, very different from one another. None of them play the same way--even priest and mystic feel very different from one another in nearly all respects. I think this is far more important when it comes to class variety than how many classes fulfill each role.

higher crit rate, and higher crit damage, sided with increased attack speed, properly built zerker can gather loads of agro, again, it all depends solely on the person using the zerker.
lots of people say zerkers suck at 1-1 pvp, i beat loads of lancers in pvp, same level as me.
just because YOU cannot make it work, does not mean no one can, stop thinking that right away before you hurt yourself, and your silly little comments push people away from a great class.

The problem isn't being able to block damage, it's having reliable aggro skills. And as was stated before your block only absorbs so much which is really not gonna help later on. You can off-tank yes but only for so long before you're in major need of heals because your block won't hold up.

Warriors are classed as off tanks and many people like them over lancers.

honestly man, i dont care if you can actually pull it off, it doesnt make Zerkers a tank. by that logic archers are good tanks, they can do damage at range and have enough distance making skills and dodges to not draw heal aggro.

PS. zerker is an amazing class and it will be my main. they are great at what they do and the do it well. huge burst damage with plate armor and a decent block so they can stay in the bosses face while others have to run for their lives. no class will compare when it comes to raw numbers, devastating crits and survivability as a DPS. fun as hell and all around badasses.
Also, as I've said before difficulty=/=usefulness. That being said you really can't say one is better than the other between lancers and warriors. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, I also don't think people prefer one or another in general. It really depends on the situation and how that player uses the class. The whole notion of "people that aren't as skilled and cant play warrior go lancer" is ridiculous. I play lancer because of it's utility and ability to keep a mob fairly stationary so our dps can focus on killing instead of kiting. It also can do things warriors can't do like pull and hold whole rooms of mobs. You can't mark lancer as a class for unskilled tankers when they both play completely different.
