Ah yes, because we all know the only two options are to either leave pet shops completely unregulated, or remove them from the game entirely.

-Travail.

We can see your name just to the left of your post, nothing irritates me more than people who do this, it's so retarded lmao.

^This. Regardless of individual personal opinions about player stores, simply pulling an entire feature from the game (ESPECIALLY a relatively large one that a significant percentage of the player-base like) should be the last resort.

This would be a non-issue if they did the player shops like they did in Everquest or even Maplestory where you have a zone dedicated to using player-run stores working in conjunction with an auction system.

Thought I should make a small video from Korean Tera showing you why player shops must be removed, judge by yourselves I'm sure you can list at least 3 good reasons after watching this video:

I can list 3 following things:

- reason not to remove them; it's beautiful actually
- you're too lazy to even bother checking them, and want everything handed down on a silver platter
- what's worse, because you're too lazy to bother with them, no one else must be allowed to use them (otherwise you could lose some good deals)

I'll give you an analogy - quite a few people around here hate instances. We consider them abmination in context of any selfrespecting mmo (personally - it's been a while since I saw one with even a fundaments of being something good). Especially in Tera, which considering all the wasted landmass could just have open world equivalents (but it's easier to stuff 2 instances and make people run them 100 times, than add a [few] dozen[s] of OW equivalents - with some meaningful interdependecies ).

Thus all instances should be removed from the game, just in case people not wanting to bother with them might lose some nice drops. It's outdated crap from times when hardware was not good enough to handle larges terrains and stuff (and a testament of devs' laziness).

Is not about being lazy, I will list you 3 quick reasons:

1-Totally breaks game atmosphere: You arrive to a beautiful harbor with the beach, beatiful houses, charming music, etc. and then you see 200 small pets jumping with text all over it doesn't feel right.

2-FPS Killer: I got a very powerful computer getting pretty much everywhere 60-80fps (even in Velika with lots of people, giant small adds pulls, etc.) and in that zone with all the pet shops I'm getting 20-30 fps, I was with a guildie questing and it took him 15 minutes to find 2 npcs then find me and fight 3 mobs because he was on 5fps.

3-Tedious=!Lazy: Who in the world will check all the shops to compare prices and then remember where the right shop was? Just tedious.

An economy works more efficiently if all items on offer may be accessed and compared with ease. An centralized clearinghouse permits this. Player stores do not. When looking at that video, how many players do you see checking them? I counted up to one.

From what I've seen, this just looks stupid...not to be harsh, but it's 20 million (exaggeration) of the same little creatures, with the same exact colors, doing the same exact motions in a small area. I would much rather a cap on the amount of stores like this in a city/town/ext depending on its size...and certain amounts of stores in certain areas of bigger cities. Removing it completely is, in my opinion, a bad idea.

...just my opinion though.

1+++++ I totally agree

(you're too lazy to even bother checking them, and want everything handed down on a silver platter) Yeah!!!! lazy of not farming for money and want the money on a silver platter... I know where your getting =P

This video is so funny but yes this impact of having easy 100 pet jumping around is annoying only 5% of the ppl actually look for items (waste there time game looking for good price in Items) but the rest don't even bother they prefer continue having play fun and do dungeons still they get the items they need.

I am not telling to remove the pet shops or let it stay but if there a good system where you can put your pet only 1 specific places and in the menu have a search toolbar shop that only need to type the items you need and give you a list of the items, location and prices it can work... I played a game that the system is like that and is a timesaver.

That does look like crap, and I am glad they are doing away with that mess and clutter. You have such beautifully designed cities and landscapes and they are overrun with that filth and spam. Good riddens. I'd much rather have everything sold at an auction house, neatly categorized, and arranged by either level, or price or anything I want to sort by than spend 5 hours sorting through 500 personal shops in a city to find the best deal of an item when I could use that time to quest, level and have fun with friends.
