Exploiters going unpunished just teaches them they can keep on looking for and abusing them with impunity. Even reverting their gear back to +6 can be a punishment though they really should get worse in my opinion, just to discourage further offenses from others.

It's time consuming for EME to go hunting through and seeing who was using white alkahest and white items to hit +9, but that's what we trust them to do: going above and beyond.

But then we run into another problem: people claiming they were innocently banned, and they must be considered. Go figure. EDIT: I guess I should clarify: a lot of people don't read jack $#!%, and may very well have innocently used white powders and white equipment to get to +9 thinking it was completely okay. THAT is why it's difficult to simply ban the lot.

Spoken like a true exploiter. No, it's not ok to use an unintended bug for your gain. This goes for any bug, big or small. You report it and move on. The moment you use it repeatedly, you are exploiting.

I spent 6.8k in fails alone for 27 attempts at going from 7-8

I don't know exactly how many for +6-7 but another 13 fails on 8-9 before I got it.

basically if I freebie out the first one that is still 10k+ on powders alone I hope they get there stuff rolled back to 3 weeks ago if they were legit exploiting something that dramatic.

A ban would be too harsh this early in the games life, and a rollback would be too lenient, so I'd have to say EME should delete the exploited gear in question, then maybe a week suspension. Or maybe a rollback+suspension, but either way, they have to show an Iron fist 0 tolerance for exploiters here.

theyre rolling them back and fixing the exploit. dont get your panties in a freakin wad, jesus christ.

i have been told by several people that they are not taking their weapons and they get too keep them... their only fixing the bug from being used further.

An admin has confirmed that they took the server down for the enchanting bug. The offending characters will likely be rolled back, or worse.

I feel your pain those of you who failed multiple times at +9. 30+ fails to get to +8 on weapon alone. I do hope they rollback the exploiters, but I also hope those of us who got our +9 legitimately today don't get punished. Hopefully there's a character log showing which alkahest was used.
