Sounds like the group didn't know what they were doing. Warriors are a must for BT unless you are doing normal and everyone is way over-geared.

I'm sure they 'enjoyed' that last boss without you.

Assumptions. One person said it, sheep crowd followed.

On the reverse side, I had heard that the JPz (or maybe the KRnz) said that Warrior is 2nd top DPS or even 1st. Who knows... it's whatever.

Endurance debuff is great :D

Actually as a "fresh 60" warrior with an equipment level of 140 I have had no problems with pugs in runs..that group was just being ignorant and you are prob better off not rolling with them any way.

All this DPS garbage in terms of who is better is just silly. Warriors are the lifeboat in any party..We are often times the last to go down; pull adds off the healers, and act as a back up tank if the lancer falls. Oh and we CAN hit really hard too and help the DPS hit even harder.

Any group that doesnt find all of that useful is not a group I would ever want to run with.

How is it people are being judged on their dps, when there are no meters?

I was kicked out for the very same reason of not doing enough "dps" and the reasoning to how they knew was because I didn't steal aggro from the tank.

A DPS that does decent damage and does not take aggro from the tank is a good DPS. Taking aggro with a high crit can wipe your team easy if you don't react fast enough.

Anywho, the people in that party were just pure stupid. Warriors have that endurance debuff, and can do sustained DPS just as good as a slayer and archer. They apparently didn't know about it or care.

Anyone who believes all the DPS [filtered] is an idiot. Do the different classes pull different DPS in similar situations? Yes. Does everyone claiming to understand that a class has less DPS than another have all the information to make the decision? No.

They just go with the hype and believe what they are told. I've done BT with an Archer and a Berserker in the same group and we took the final boss down with plenty of time to spare. People are just [filtered] retarded.

And I've never heard of a Warrior not wanted in a group.

I prefer the dps in my party learn how to do top dps while also managing their own aggro. Yea the occasional monster crit will generate unavoidable aggro, but for the most part they need to learn how to not get aggro while still doing their job. TERA is different from other games - you need to manage your HP by evading/block/otherwise not getting hit, and you need to manage aggro. The tank/healer aren't supposed to do everything for you.

If "good" dps generated massive aggro than dungeons would be a huge mess with the Lancer constantly chasing the boss around trying to pull him back and regain aggro and the healer would be frantically spam healing. That does not sound like a talented group to me.

Manage your own aggro? No. That's the tank's job to keep it off you. If for some reason the mob is on you that means either:

1. You're doing a ton of damage, which is good.
2. The boss is directing an attack at you under normal circumstances.
3. Your tank sucks.

During hard modes you need to beat DPS timers. There is no managing aggro for DPS. You pump out as much as you can as fast as possible. If you stop to "manage aggro" like a [filtered] you will wipe the group.

Even the last boss in regular BT is a dps timer and amazing dps can be achieved without aggro problems - the boss shouldn't be bouncing around between targets. He should be on your tank most of the fight except for the occasional mechanic where he targets random players for certain moves. If you have constant aggro issues, someone in your group is not doing their job properly - either the tank, the dps, or both.

It's definitely not the DPS. The DPS only do damage. You can't tell a DPS to slow down on the damage on an enrage timer. That's silly.
