I loved my gameplay. My computer is old, so I had to turn down the settings a bit, but it ran smoothly. My biggest problem was not knowing what the heck was going on. The "hints on screen" are very hard to read and understand. I didn't understand anything about my inventory, stats, quests, etc... I just knew that I needed to grind as much as possible. I couldn't find good help with NPC's in the village, and asking other players was a waste of time. I know that since I am a hardcore gamer, come friday I will spend 20 mins and figure everything out. But I could see a casual gamer walking away in a very short amount of time (not us die hards haha.)
There was only one issue I had really and its something small:
When I'm using my basic attack and I try to use a skill, my skill doesn't interrupt my auto attack. I have to stop my basic attack to use the skill. That was the one downer I had in terms of game design but I adapted to it within seconds so It was like It never happened.
If you open the controller menu (I use the "back" button on the 360 controller), there's a little check box that's listed as "show controller hud" or something like that. Unclick it to make it disappear from UI.
I thought I saw a way to change keybindings in the options menu. I know I changed some for the controller, so I asume keyboard should be able to be changed as well.
3D was running smoothly on my GTX580 + 3.6ghz i5-750
all settings maxed except shadows @ 2 as per nvidia's 3d recommendation
wasn't getting a buttery smooth 120fps, but it rarely went below 80, might have to scale it back a bit for cities but i mean big thumbs up
the 3d was almost flawless too, the only problem i found (aside from shadows set to 2) was that text bubbles over characters head appear in the HUD space instead of actually over a character's head (IE on the screen, not inside of the screen)
but character names and everything else did actually appear over their heads so that's a really small issue
Anybody know if the textures were the highest res ones? They looked pretty good to me but I know they mentioned there might be a higher res pack that is an additional 7GB.
Aside from chat and the lack of /FPS everything was amazing.
